When I was REALLY bored and sad hah and looking online at any stuff that Danny has done before, I came across this, screams gay does it not? I'm thinking Dean is possibly straight? Also WTF is this weird site, I searched my name and it had info on my Facebook which I thought was private?
I've read some of the spoilers - but I don't believe them all!
The main comment I wanted to make is that Sven is blatantly gay! Well, he is actually really really similar to a gay friend of mine who is very similar in looks and mannerisms, so this is swaying me - but what have people seen that actually make him out to be straight? If I recall, the main things we have heard are the pieces to camera that Cara and the other boys make saying 'Sven's totally straight', but we haven't actually seen much of that ourselves....?
Agree with others that no one seems to actually want to go out with Cara!
I keep forgetting to watch this and I do want to as I've never seen (or remember seeing) a British series, only the American one and the straight guy was picked in the end (which was funny because I thought he was gay ,lol, so my gaydar is no good either).
These types of shows are interesting because I wonder if some of the guys know the other guys sexuality (maybe through quiet cono off camera/or on it) and they try and reveal it to the girl just so that they can get another guy eliminated so that they have a better chance of getting the money. If none of the guys seem interested in her (even the straight ones whoever they be) then it shows that this show has become as much about money as a potential relationship. Did the bachelor have money involved for the winning girl or was it just Gavin, lol (I can't remember now)?
Is there going to be a female version one, with gay and straight girls, because non straight girls get as much stereotpying as gay men do. Either they are viewed as butch and ugly or just viewed as gay/bi for the titilation of straigt men. All of the gay/bi girls I know are pretty (at minumum) and and are certainly not gay for the purpose of getting attention from straight men. I think it would be interesting to show that gay girls and non straight girls are as diverse (and sometimes similar) as straight and non straight men.

I think that would be an even more interesting concept because lesbians aren't really shown on TV, like they don't exist in society. But if they reverse it, I can't help thinking that men would watch it because they'd want the girls to 'lez it up'. I'm not saying that all men like the idea of girls getting it on with each other, but I think that would be the only reason why they'd tune in. Shame.

I was thinking this. Now that 'Playing It Straight' is back on the tv, they should really have variations of the show throughout the year. A female version of Playing It Straight would be interesting because it would show the extent of lesbian stereotyping. Although, the lesbian stereotypes, while existent, aren't as obvious as the gay men stereotypes.
Also, they should have a Playing It Gay. It would take reality tv to a new level socially. Instead of being glad the gay guys are ousted from the show, it'd be great if the "Cara" role attempts to oust the straight contestants. I personally am not offended by PIS (I find it hilarious and entertaining) but it would stop the "homophobic" accusations.
But you should definitely watch the UK version. The thing I love most is how the girls always send home first the stereotypically gay guys who are actually straight.

I think either Sven or Levi is gay. But I think it is most likely Levi rather than Sven. I think Danny and probably Dean are definitely straight.

Yes, I would fear this too. And of those men that would expect to see this (and I know not all of course) they would tune off immediately if nothing tittyliocious happened and the ratings would just go down the drain and the show would disappear into oblivion as most lesbian shows do.

I would go with this to some extent, that's why sometimes being an invisible/or not believed non straight girl sometimes has it's benifits (in a sad way).

Yeah I would find this reverse angle interesting too!
Also, I think this year's Danny is the same as blonde Danny from the last UK series - straight with obvious stereotypically gay factors (dyed blonde hair, hairstyles, former is very superficial while the latter was a model).
Is it just me or do most of the boys seem to have been on something in the past. David's face seemed like I had seen it before. Same as Sven ( I think that's his name).
Did anyone notice David messed up during his double date with Cara and the new guy? He was ragging on the new guy for liking Disney, and said something along the lines of "no straight guy likes Disney films, even I don't like Disney films" which was pretty much saying, "even I, a gay guy, don't like Disney films"

YES! I notices that, and I'm sure Cara did too..!!! He's way of letting her know or a slip up?!

I noticed this too and took it exactly how you did. I looked at Cara's face though and it seemed to go straight over her head.
I'm not sure about Levi. I was thinking straight and he was a double bluff, but there was something about his eyes during the elimination a couple episodes back that made me think he was hiding something.
I actually took that comment to mean "Even I, a camp straight guy don't like Disney films". Obviously that was a lie on David's part but if I was Cara I wouldn't have thought anything of it.
Ben - Gay
Danny - Straight
Dean - Gay
Jordan- Straight
Levi - Gay
Mitch - Gay (correct)
Sam - Straight
Sven - Gay
Guessed correctly:
Andrei - Straight
David - Gay
Before I started watching:
Fillipo - Straight
Kyle - Gay
Fletcher - Straight
Leroy - Gay
My reasoning for Sven being gay is that he seems too obviously straight, so I think he's a decoy. Danny is very effeminate, but somehow I think he's straight. Ben and Sam look so obviously gay that I think at least one of them must be straight. It's been known for identical twins to have different sexual orientations, so I'm hedging my bets (be funny if I got it the wrong way around!). Don't think Levi is straight, despite what most people are saying.
I don't think it would be that strange if none of the boys fancied Cara. If the chemistry isn't there, it isn't there. There's nothing wrong in wanting a share of the £50k. They all know it's a game.
I'm pleased that I've got three right so far. Having watched the first episode on 4OD this week, it seemed fairly obvious to me that Fillipo was straight (and Kyle gay), but that's easier to say with hindsight.
I haven't been swayed on any of my guesses this week. I still think Danny's straight, mainly because of the expression in his eyes. Sam and Ben seem the gayest of all, yet I'm still hedging my bets because surely it wouldn't be THAT obvious, would it?
I read on another forum, which I can't seem to find again that Danny is gay. Somebody had him as her hairdresser (not that that necessarily makes him gay) and said he was rather a flamboyant character. If this is true he is really doing a good job of it, because he's one of those people who I can't guess about.
On another note, what happened to that Mitch bloke? One minute he was there, touring the Dali museum and the next he was gone....

Yes. Sometimes I wonder if it's better being known but getting the hassle from that or being nearly invisible and dealing with lesser hassle.

How the twins have survived this far I do not know!!

I assumed she didn't send anyone home because Mitch had already left....
