    All time- Sopranos
    Current - The Walking Dead
Breaking Bad is good but totally overhyped. Some episodes are dreadful and others are genius but doesn't touch The Sopranos.

No, it isn't over-hyped at all.
    Some episodes are dreadful...

Actually, none have been dreadful. The very worst episodes have been "good" as opposed to excellent.

In your opinion. In mine it is a good series but nowhere near what people make it out to be.

The Walking Dead or CSI or Big Bang Theory - it's a close one.

Yes, in my opinion, and the opinion of many others. Anyway, I am obviously not going to convince you you are wrong, so I'll just say I am happy you call the show "good.":) We agree on The Sopranos' merits, it seems, and The Walking Dead is definitely one of my current favourites.

Banshee is great, and it is a shame it isn't getting any love from the critics, who seem to think the show is beneath them.

A couple of favourites from long ago: The Fugitive and Centennial (mini-series).

    Somewhat more recently: Babylon 5.

Past - ER ( the earlier seasons) The Sopranos

Current - The Good Wife, Mad Men ( although the latest series wasn't as good)

Keep meaning to watch Breaking Bad! Also, no one's mentioned Homeland yet. It seems to get loads of awards so is it worth watching?

The first two were average, definitely not "good".

For me, there's two outstanding choices for both.

    Past: The Wire, The Sopranos

Present: Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones.

No, the first two episodes weren't "good" -- they were "very good.":) But you and I have been in dispute about Breaking Bad before, and like then, we now just have to agree to disagree.;)

Also, I see you haven't named any series in answer to the OP's question. I am curious about what would impress you, given what you think about Breaking Bad, and I have seen that Parks And Recreation didn't meet with your approval either.

    Internet High-Fives all round. :D

btw: it took me a good 5 eps before I realised they have an extra little scene bit after the credits. I'm sucha a dink. :o

What? I've missed them all then.
I will rewatch it when it airs on Sky Atlantic though, so I will be sure to catch the 'free bits'.

The first two episodes of Breaking Bad were average, it did get much better after those two. But I gave it up because I had too much on series link and loads of boxsets I hadn't got around to watching...

I really like Dexter, Homeland, The Walking Dead, and it's perhaps too soon to call it, but The Americans on FX is shaping up to be one of my favourites.

I enjoy Suits and Game of Thrones. I like The Following, but I think that's more guilty pleasure territory.

Comedy wise I like 30 Rock, American Dad, Community, Girls, How I Met Your Mother, Jim Jefferies' new series Legit. I can't stand awkward comedy, but I did enjoy The US Office and Curb Your Enthusiasm.

I am giving Parks and Rec. another go, because everyone keeps banging on about it...
