Pre order advice
Hi I am looking at buying the PS4 on release day (first time i have ever done this but it has been a long wait for this next gen )
Will i definitely need to pre order?
Who is the best to pre order with?
When will the package deals be released?
Thanks in advance

I know last year Shopto delivered many WiiU consoles a day before release - Amazon got me mine on release day. Game in store would be best if you want to pick it up at midnight at launch.
Havent seen many bundles - Game instore will definetely be doing them, I know Amazon in the US have also listed bundles online.
I have never used shopto, but heard lots about it on here.
What about the supermarkets?
Im hoping they will have either FIFA 14 OR GTA out for release but dont know how likely this is???
If they are they will sure bundle them with the console
No one knows what the bundles will be yet.
I have heard loads of people saying that it will get a release on the next gen though?
Its really annoying that GTA V is coming out so close to the next gen releases. I am planning on selling my 360 to help fund my PS4 purchase so wont be getting GTA at all unless it does get a release on the PS4 maybe through PS+ ?
Stay up for midnight, lol.
sorry
I'd pre-order with a few. You can always cancel at any time if/when the bundles arrive.
I was going to pre order at a Game Store but the last time I picked up a pre order that way (Black ops) I was in the store for over an hour. I imagine it will be longer when it is a console and the staff are trying to flog games and accessories at the Till!
I'll be quite happy waiting around at home, preparing my man cave for its arrival
lol i know, sad but between work and kids im wrecked by 11 lol
Surely if i cancel my pre order i lose my £20 dont I, other wise there is no point in them taking a deposit
thats a good point lol
Game will transfer your deposit to a Game giftcard if you cancel a preorder, but they won't issue you an actual refund.
ShopTo have gotten all of my preorders to me before actual release, so I'd say they are a good bet.
well thats pretty cool, they leave themselves open though to having to much stock.
Toysrus is selling it for £10 cheaper than most with free deliver but it says on their website 13.12.13 is the release date? I have not seen that confirmed anywhere else
That's the date being floated at the minute. Just a holding date I think. Most likely a mid-late November release for both consoles.
GTA V on next gen consoles is not happening. Also about it coming through PS+ no one can say, you're asking things people can only hazard a guess at. All you can do is get GTA on your 360 and hope you finish it before you sell your 360, hang on to the 360 as it still has a few more years life left in it or, like the rest of us, just wait and see what happens.
Amazon is my go to. I've never had a problem with them. They only take the money once despatched (I'm sure most do this) and no cancellation fees.
I'd take that in the UK, £450ish
£339.99-3.15% (£10.71) cashback = £329.29

Cash back may be for it before tax so may be less.
Ye i do still like my 360 but i am selling it now hopefully to get a higher price than after the new machines come out, ill get a trade in from Game of £120 if i want, but ill put it on ebay and hopefully get near £150, i can survive a few months without it (im not playing it much right now as im training all the time anyway).
Thats great
GTA V will probably be available through Gakai next year. If you can wait. I won't be. It'll be my last 360 purchase.
Ask about a launch day trade-in maybe there'll have a deal somewhere?
I was thinking that but as I'm not getting rid of my PS3 I'll buy GTA V for that but that will probably be my last PS3 purchase for a while as any spare money I have between now and when the PS4 is released is going into my savings account towards that.
Ye its a pitty GTA couldnt have come out earlier in the year (i think it had been rumoured for a June release at one point), sales will be effected by the close release of the new systems same with opening day FIFA 14 sales, i dont see why people would buy it on their 360/PS3 knowing in a months time they will be getting the new console so sales will be split.
I feel for people who work in a GAME store this Xmas... which might actually be me again. Last year was hectic enough, but with the release of the new consoles it'll be extreme - Chances are they won't be trying to flog ANY extra items and just trying to get people out - The store I worked in had a "code red" for when the shop was extremely busy and we were not to offer anything.
