Nice story and completely true. Morrissey's dad grew up in the Crumlin area of Dublin and lived alongside his first cousin who was Irish football captain Robbie Keane's grandfather. The two of them recently found out about their family connection and have become friendly.

Morrissey's dad was a really good amateur footballer in his youth, or so I've read in a biography. Maybe there is a footballing gene in the family
