Gosh. I had no idea he was even ill.

I absolutely loved The Real McCoy back in the day.

    That's terribly sad. RIP.

So sad. Just looked at all the tweets on twitter. BBC very slow in reporting it though. I loved The Real McCoy as well.

    RIP

This is from the Fast Show

And this is from Bellamy's People

I love the fact that the 'interviewer' starts cracking up when Felix is talking about Bryan May.

There are some great clips from his Real McCoy days on youtube too. He really was a brilliant comedian and by all accounts a top bloke as well.

Seems DS are also slow in reporting it as well. RIP Felix Dexter.

I only knew him from his stint in Absolutely Fabulous but still, that's very sad.

I used to love The Real McCoy when I was a teen, Felix was a funny man and seemed really lovely. I had no idea he had cancer, poor man RIP.

A wonderful comedian, seen far too infrequently on our screens.

    RIP.

I agree, Felix should've been on tv a lot more. A wasted opportunity, a lot of people missed out on his talent.

I remember he was on the infamous Piers Morgan HIGNFY, he didn't get to say a lot as the show was more about Piers and his smugness and bitchiness versus Ian Hislop with Clive Anderson pitching in too. Felix was the good guy, I don't think he could quite believe how horrible Piers was in a way :D Hilarious episode!

I've just been reading another member of The Real McCoy died in August. Collette Johnson was 52, the same as Felix, and had cancer too. That's so sad. She was very funny, along with the other woman in the show Llewella Gideon. RIP Collette.

I am really shocked and sad to hear this, more recently he's been in Citizen Khan.
    He was exceptionally talented. RIP

Really sad to hear this. RIP Felix. A very funny man.

If you want to see genius observational comedy in action, just watch some of Felix's Nigerian Accountant routines. :D

I always liked The Real McCoy. Shame it didn't last longer.

He was head and shoulders above the rest of them in the Real McCoy IMO. A very very talented, funny man.

So sad to hear about his passing. 52 is no age at all :(

I believe that the BBC wiped the Real McCoy tapes, which is the reason there's been no DVD release.

This is sad. Rememeber him well from The Real McCoy and had wondered what had happened to him actually...especially as every time the name Dexter Fletcher was mentioned, I thought he was the one being referred to. R.I.P.

Really sad news, I always found Felix hilarious & felt his talent was underappreciated & underused by TPTB. Been watching some Real McCoy clips on youtube, he was just class on that show.

    Definitely sad news indeed.

I've watched him numerous times on the stand-up circuit & he was a really funny guy.

    RIP Felix.
