A monster in Paris 6.75/10 - It's an animated film about a very talented 'monster' (Lovefilms)

This is an enjoyable film especially for all the kids out there. I enjoyed it and I would recommend it.

    Buried (2010).

9/10. The premise looks like it shouldn't work. It does. Brilliantly.

The Prestige. (2006) Still trying to decide whether I was bored rigid or it's an arty farty film that I've somehow missed the point of. It had great reviews but I'm not getting it.

The ending was a massive let down IMO.

Man On A Ledge. Not bad, plenty of suspense.
Grave Encounters 2. Not as good as the first one, though they took it in quite a good direction. Too much crap at the beginning.

The Prestige is fandabadozie. The descent into obsession by Jackman's (an actor i rarely like) character is superb. The ending is magnificent. But it's a film you can only watch once, or after 50 years and you have become senile and forgot just about everything.

    The Sweeney (2012)

Oh dear. It's so bad I'm not sure where to begin. Ray Winstone phoning in another performance, just being Ray Winstone again( mumbles, the odd snarl, grunts)... Plan B is so inept at acting I'm gobsmacked someone hired him. Just give it up already, please. The storyline was thin and vague, the big set piece was a chase around a caravan park... the 'love' story between Ray & a hot nubile young officer was absolutely repulsive, particularly the endless shots of Ray's massive gut portruding o'er his y-fronts *vom*... what the hell were they thinking?????

    0/10

Loved the origional 1977 and 1978 films havent seen this one and dont want to ! as usual leave the best versions alone !...why tamper with them !

Watched it last night, 7.5/10 for me. I guess I missed the wise cracks and humour from Stallone and Bullock. :(
I know this was a very different take and meant to be more like the comic book story. I have seen much worse movies. The guy who played Dredd must have had face ache from all that frowning :D

That was Demolition Man wasn't it?

    The Debt - 8/10

Strange casting decisions. y65 David looks more like y97 Stephen, while y65 Stephen looks more like y97 David. How did they not notice?

Your Highness [2011]. Director: David Gordon Green

    5/10

Lame gags sink this comic fantasy. If they'd just shot it as a fantasy it might have been OK as it looks quite impressive.

Bullet to the head - 3/10 - poor acting by everyone!

Flight - 8.5/10 - Denzel in a pilot outfit did it for me. Not to mention a good soundtrack and a good story. Oscar for Denzel!!

House At The End of the Street

Cliched in parts(as you'd expect), but plenty of twists and turns and a very competent performance from the wonderful Jennifer Lawrence. Enjoyed it.

    7/10

    Dream House

    One absolutely massive plot hole.....
The whole hired killer getting the 'wrong house' and killing the wrong woman

.....pretty much spoiled this for me, which is a shame, because up until it was revealed, I thought this was decent.

    5/10

    Catfish

Have been watching the TV programme, so thought I should see where it all began. An absolutely fascinating insight into the world of of cyber relationships.

    8.5/10

    The Grey....7/10.

The dog and I really enjoyed this. A bit predictable and I wasn't keen on the ending.
