does anyone have any favourites?

I like when the music comes in, in the Sicilian scene from True Romance and then builds to that crescendo!

The opening set-piece of 24 Weeks Later, which culminates in Don abandoning Alice, the music for which is aptly entitled 'Don Abandons Alice'.

I'll also add the wedding scene at the end of Nanny McPhee, accompanied by 'Snow in August'. Beautiful piece.

The Pulp Fiction scene where Uma Thurman's character Mia Wallace plays 'Girl, You'll Be A Woman Soon' by Neil Diamond, prior to snorting heroine.

    The Force Theme, from numerous occurrences in the Star Wars saga. The five that immediately spring to mind;

Binary Sunset from A New Hope

Burning Homestead, from A New Hope

Yoda; My ally is the Force, from Empire Strikes Back.

Luke calls to Leia, in Empire Strikes Back.

Vader's Funeral pyre, from Return of the Jedi.

I love lots of soundtracks, but Star Wars is by far and away my favourite - and of its themes, The Force Theme is the best of them. It just gets me on some level. Every single time.

Cruel Intentions - The Verve playing Bittersweet Symphony. To me the best ending for a film, if I watch this I always watch the ending several times.

Freedom - Django Unchained escape scene
Chateau - The Matrix Reloaded chateau fight
A hair lead - from the skydiving sequence in Point Break
Armoury - from the armoury sequence in Tron: Legacy
Sunshine of your love - Goodfellas, when Jimmy is thinking about whacking Morie
Atlantis - Goodfellas again, such a peaceful hippy song during its arguably most violent scene

    There's loads and loads...

All the music in For A Few Dollars More is brilliant. It's never mentioned but I like the melancholy tune that plays while Eastwood and Van Cleef go their separate ways.

I also love Ennio Morricone's score for Casualties Of War.

The opening of Jackie Brown, where Pam Grier arrives back in LA from Mexico. There is a panning shot of her coming through the airport to the sound of Bobby Womack's 'Across 110 Street.' It is artistically done with the credits coming up on the screen and they are presented in a 70's blaxploitation font style.

This one is best heard on a surround sound system.

The frog scene from E.T. The music is from 'The Quiet Man' which E.T is watching on the TV and starts off in mono. When the children release the frogs out the window the music suddenly bursts opens up to full surround.

It always sends tingles down my spine.

I also like the music when 'The Untouchables' attack the bridge on horseback.

The use of Bittersweet Symphony at the end of Cruel Intentions stands out for me. Perfect choice, and perfectly executed.
