Downloading MP3s from US Amazon/iTunes ?

  I don't know about Amazon but certainly with iTunes you can register an account on whatever store you want then make purchases using gift vouchers. There are several sites online selling the vouchers for the various different regions. I know a few people that did this for the purpose of getting US TV shows that aren't available on our store.

  Tha does sound like a good idea, how does one download the USA store without interfering with the UK one ?

  You need to make a store account for whatever region you want - give it a nonsense address and opt to not enter any credit card details. Once thats done you can switch between the stores by clicking on the flag at the bottom of the store.
  
  The purchased content from both stores can reside in the same library without any problems but if you did want to keep it all separate probably the simplest option would be to make another Windows/OSX user account on your computer

  They send the code to your email address, can take up to 24 hours.
