Proposed revamp ideas for next years show? Any ideas

Here's my ideas to improve the show

1) Replace Tulisa as a Judge with someone more relevant, modern and someone who can sell records. I think Christopher would be an ideal replacement

2) Time to put Louis down. His meaningless Sound bites are ern meaningless. His only contribution is to tell his acts to sit on stalls, or not to sit on stalls. You can see the contestants hearts sink when they're told that Louis will be a their mentor.

3) Sending through Joke acts who can't sing at the auditions is embarrassing and humiliating. So I'd like to see more of that

4) Scrap the over 28s category, nobody wants to see the likes of Chris or Mary Winning. Replace it with an over 27 and a halves category

5) It's pretty clear that the producers think the public are idiots and can't be trusted. To be fair they have a point, so I think they should bring back the famous ITV vote rigging to manipulate the winner

6) Replace that ridiculous over the top judges entrance music with something more appropriate. Perhaps the benny hill theme tune

Ok, i'm out of ideas. Feel free to add to the list

The only people who can vote, and on repeat dial the lot of them, should be a troupe of monkeys.

Rename the show the Sex Factor, and to qualify as a judge you must have your own sex tape, Louis included.

Every contestant has to be hawt, with singing ability a bonus.

    Replace Dermot with Rylan.

Turn Deadlock into Headlock. The bottom 2 are held in stocks with other contestants allowed to throw wet sponges and gunge at them. The one who submits first goes home.

Every contestant must have ex-work colleagues prepared to tell the press the singer is a would-be serial killer.

Introduce a new Over 70s category, to cater for the obviously increasing involvement of the nation's nannas. Porn nannas and bingo swingers especially welcome.

    Scrap the overs completely.
    Scrap the wildcard.
    Scrap arena auditions.
Scrap allowing joke acts (such as Wagner/ rylan- both of which, in particular Wagner, I loved!) as the judges only b*tch and moan when the public keep them in over a supposedly talented act. Why it the joke to judges houses then??! It's daft.
Scrap public vote, OR scrap the deadlock option. Either it's down to the judges or its down to the public.

    Brilliant idea!!
And get rid of Caroline Flack too. Let Rylan do both shows.

Have woken up now :D and actually read this and the other one properly, brilliant!!!

Still think yes to Rylan as new host, that would be brilliant!

    Some random suggestions:

    - Embrace the older audience. The fact that Maloney topped the public vote so many times was down in part to the older audience of the show, so instead of trying to scare these type of viewers away by condemning them for being wrong (Tulisa) cater to them.

    - Make the show positive. The reason Strictly has been beating the X Factor is due to the fact that Strictly is a much more positive feel good show, whereas The X Factor is riddled with tabloid scandal, sleaziness and contrived controversy, get rid of that and make the show more positive and fun.

-Change the judges categories from those based on age to those based on specialist genres such as Rock, Pop, RnB etc. It would be an interesting tweak and would allow the show to possibly gain a wider musical fanbase.

    - Be clear and less hypocritical with the audience, the viewers aren't idiots and yet with these sudden U-turns on contestants (Rylan) and tabloid slander stories (Maloney) the producers make us feel like we are.

-More creative control for contestants, allow them to interpret the songs as they like, they've been less rigid this year and last year but I want real creativity like we see on The Voice USA.

-Less focus on contestant's backstory, yes, we can sympathise with someone who has had a tough life but does anyone honestly want it shoved down their throat week in, week out?

-Replace Louis, possibly Tulisa/Nicole also. Bring on someone experienced in the production side like Mark Ronson and an experienced UK female talent, the likes of Keisha Buchanan from Sugababes or even Corrine Bailey Rae.

Bring it back to basics and bring in the old themes they used to do. The themes are crap now.

Or let each act sing any song as long as it is suited to their voice and let them explore different themes as they choose. Rather then forcing them to do a theme which doesn't suit their voice.

Get Graham Nortons red chair for all of the judges, and when the negative comments on DS get to a certain point, that judges chair tips over unexpectedly flinging them into the pit :)

1 - Get rid of 'Arena Auditions'

2 - Keep Louis, Tulisa and Nicole and get rid of Gary. Bring back Simon AND Sharon. Who acts as judges only and not mentors.

3 - If we get rid of the mentors then there is no need for the categories this will get rid of restrictions of only being allowed to put 3 from each category through. Only preformed bands/groups are allowed.

4 - Get rid of the theme weeks and have each judge take it in turn to select ALL the songs for ALL the acts that week.

5 - Cut down the number of episode for both the auditions and the finals to 8 weeks in total:

2 weekends of auditions, 4x90 minutes, 1 Saturday Boot-Camp show, 1x90 minutes; 1 Sunday 'Final Selection' show where the judges pick the 12 acts for the final together.

Cut the Saturday show down to 90 minutes and the results show down to 30 minutes

Two acts go each week based on the old double eviction rules. Bottom act goes. Next two acts sing-off for the judges votes with all of the judges voting in secret before any choices are made known.

Bring the final forward to week 5 and have a four-act, two-hour Final

    1. Scrap the 'over's category. Neither the public nor the judges take it seriously, let alone accept the idea of an oldie winning, so why bother going through the charade? Have a max. age of, say, 25.
    2. Don't put anyone through at the live audition if you don't think they can win, or if you don't think they should win, regardless of talent. Being 'entertaining' shouldn't be good enough. If, at the first audition, a judge doesn't think they have a credible chance of being a deserving winner, them don't put them through. This should prevent the so-called 'joke' acts getting to the final stages.

Never seen the point of the overs as they will always make sure no matter how good someone is in that category they will get rid of them

Telling the X-Factor to remove the Overs is like telling Apple to stop using iOS. It's one of the extra features of the show that set it apart from the Idol franchise. Olly was an Over and he did well for himself. It's all about the gaps in the market.

    Here are my ideas:

More stricter themes, with less ambiguity with the song choices for the choose theme.

End the public auditions. The humiliation of poor hopefuls is just not very pleasant to watch at home. I am thinking of the Pink girl. I felt so sorry for her. I don't like being made to feel uncomfortable at home whilst watching the tv.

New logo and feel to show.

New judges, keep Nicole, I think she brings something different to the show.

Have a pair of presenters, but not Ant and Dec.

    Try and be more current.

    Less in your face graphics.

Stop the hard luck stories. It should be about the talent, not the back story.

Also, stop the over the top comments, such as 'your the best singer we have ever had' etc. Ella proves that the audience at home do not think the same way as the judges.

    1. Replace Tulisa. She seems over it this year.
    2. Replace Gary. I can and will not understand why he's in the show. He's the mentor of the worst act of the year for the last two years.
    3. Create a twist that is not predictable (like the wildcard) and not something the show would rue (like nominating Chris as a wildcard).
    4. Increase the judge count to five, with one non-mentor, who either breaks a 2-2 split or overturns a 3-1 decision and force deadlock.
    5. Create a clear vision of what the show is about. The US version tried to do that but failed because the talent sucks. It's not just about the voice, nor is it just about entertainment.

Have some sort of follow up shows to see how he acts are doing or in some cases not doing!

Get the judges to stump up the money for the acts and if they make a return on the acts then all well and good. A bit like dragons den.

Let's have mentors who are NOT judges.then maybe they will more honest.. None of them want to slate their own act. If they have no attachment to them it won't be personal

Have they got the budget for that? Aren't the judges on something like £1 million a series so mentors would want to be paid a fair bit and there would need to be at least one mentor per category.

As much as I think he's great, Lou Lou is finished. He's worn out. Tom Fletcher would be a good mentor. That effin Tulisia needs to leave also. Mel B please.

The show makes millions every year slim sure they could afford it
Plus judges would only be needed when it came to live shows..get mentors to pick finalists

Let's call it The Pop Idol Factor, while we're at it.

Would be interesting, but as the X factor probably has about a 95% failure rate, it wouldn't look very good

Think how many times Louis has promised someone that they're going to be the next big international recording artist
