Although both older when they both died they were still very popular

    Eric Morecombe

    Tommy Cooper

    Died in tragic circumstances

    Leslie Howard

    Glenn Miller

    Jayne Mansfield

    Marilyn Monroe

And finally not killed but his career was cut short by a horrific accident on live TV

    Charlie Drake

Have to agree with what others have said about Sharon Tate.
She appeared in some ropey old films (the Thirteen Chairs being an absolute stinker!) but she really lit up the screen in all of them.

IMO, she would've gone on to be a huge star if Charlie Manson hadn't been such a rotter.

    Agree.

Andy Gibb died at 30 in 1988. I think he was about to join the Bee Gees.

Elvis died at 42 in 1977. Not a fan, but imagine him fit in the 80s and working with contemporary producers. Very sad.

    Amy Winehouse

After Amy Winehouse died I checked out some of her music on Youtube, I was shocked at how pretty was she was before drink and drugs took over her life, she had such a lovley figure, nothing like the scarecrow always pictured stumbling out if a pub, what a waste.

Phil Lynott, I always really liked Gary Holton who played loveable rogue Wayne in Auf Wiedersein, Pet.

Karen Carpenter, I know she had health issues but she was only young and seemed to be getting back on track

For me it's Amy Winehouse. Such a wasted talent and I believe even though B2B is an amazing album, she still hadn't reached her peak. :(

Eddie Cochran. Killed in a car crash aged only 21, such a tragic waste of a potentially huge talent. :(

Completely, completely AALIYAH. Her third album, released a month before her death, was honestly an R&B masterpiece. She was going to be big, you could feel it.

Oh yes indeed. Much as I love AC/DC with Brian Johnson, Bon Scott was simply awesome, incredible presence and charisma. Such a tragic waste.

Eddie Cochran was amazing, a true talent abruptly cut short.

Brian Jones - an original Rolling Stone.

Keith Moon - drummer in the Who.

Agree about Gary Holton, I remember to this day how that vile rag The Daily Star hounded him to his death. W**kers.

Bon Scott, bless him, was never going to make old bones. His lifestyle was a huge part of his talent IMHO. I still find it amazing that AC/DC managed to release Back in Black just five months after Bon's death. Not just any old album, but Back In F**king Black!!!

    Unbelievable...

Another vote for the very talented Dustin Gee.
So sad, as he and Les Dennis had only done about one or two series of their Laughter Show before he died.:(

Thought his impression of Larry Grayson was absolutely brilliant.
