(though Ollie Murs' sales are more impessive than I thought!)
The ones who is very impressive on this list is the last winner James Arthur who is already in the list with just the 1 winner single!

Oh I know. So many missed chances.
I have assumed this..:
Singles (4,400,000)
A Moment Like This - 820,000+
Bleeding Love - 1,000,000+
Better In Time - 250,000+
Forgive Me - 150,000+
Run - 800,000
Happy - 250,000+
I Got You - 120,000+
Trouble - 100,000?
Total = 3,120,000
Difference = 1,280,000
Anyone help with this lol
Albums (3,900,000)
Spirit - 3,000,000+
Echo - 650,000+
Glassheart - 100,000?
Total = 3,750,000
Difference - 150,000
Anyone help with this lol
I don't really know, these figures come from Music Week, so I they will be legit and correct, she's just obviously sold more than you thought.
BL - 1.060 million+*
AMLT - 900k+*
Run - 800k+*
BIT - 250k+*
Happy - 250k+*
Forgive me - 140k+*
IGY - 120k+*
Collide - 110k+*
Trouble - 80k+*
Stop Crying Your Heart Out - 30k+*
Hurt - 30k+*
~ 3.77 million
Then there's also FITS which has been a big trickle seller, although I don't know its own sales (could very well be 100k+). Her cover of FTEISYF has also been decent trickle seller as well in the past, especially during the Spirit era (it was used in that watch advert too) and whenever it's sung on a show, her version always pops up. Plus a lot of album tracks from Spirit charted when the album debuted. And "My Hands"/"Glassheart" also charted when Echo/Glassheart debuted and may have added a couple thousand sales to her totals.
Albums
Spirit - 3.074 million (as of October 2012)
Echo - 680k (as of October 2012)
Glassheart - ~80k
~3.834 million. Spirit typically sells ~200-600 copies a week and I'm sure Echo has added a few more sales since october. So 3.9 million seems about right.
* Sales for all her singles are likely higher, as some have had many years of trickle selling. Plus, we haven't actually had any proper update for a large bulk of her singles for a while.
You forgot her last hit Lovebird which sold about 300 copies
I assume LL, AB, SW,LM, JA, MC, and JMc all include their winner's single so thereby boosting their totals. This makes OM, JLS, and 1D even more impressive relatively. What would be a fairer comparison is to see the figures minus the winners' singles.
This is interesting for the UK but does anyone have international figures? Yes I know I'm biased as I'm on the Cher AT - but genuine question as it's more important these days probably than ever.
According to my figures she has sold 48%+ of her albums abroad and 72%+ of singles (Totals 428K and 3.7M approx respectively.) I suspect it's similar proportions for her Vevo views of 314M.
Clearly 1D are in the stratosphere internationally but how many millions is it? To be fair Leona had a good bit of success too, as has Olly, and probably JLS and LM to lesser extents. JA too early to compare as he hasn't released anything (what are they doing there by the way???)
Given talk of International X Factors and the success of some alumni abroad one suspects S Cowell has more of an eye on this aspect than in say 2004?
You make very good points. JA I believe will release his first single next month. Think video has been shot.
1D worldwide, probably between 15-20 million records so far, not sure, could be more.
Thanks 15-20M! That's kind of my point really.
The figures are perfectly correct I'm sure and totally valid (and thanks to the OP for digging them out) but strip out the winners' figures (which are sort of a gimme really, - whoever wins is going to get a big Xmas time hit it's just a question of "how big"), and start seeing the UK as only part of the world and you get a different perspective.
Difficult too to compare 2004 albums v 2013. Buying patterns have had a seismic shift to the extent it's almost like comparing 78's sales in 1955 with 1948 before 45's were invented. VEVO/You Tube have big significance now and so conversely not a lot of point comparing G4's views (15707 if you are interested - yes fifteen thousand I'm not missing a decimal place) with Cher Lloyd's 314,731,732, and X billion doubtless from ID.
Still all interesting stuff.
These are Leona's figures for UK & USA:
Ok these are her US + UK sales combined.
UK - 8.5 million
4.4 million singles
3.9 million albums
US - ~9 million
BL - 4.60 million
BIT - 1.60 million
Happy - 0.50 million
I Will Be - 0.15 million
I Got You - 0.10 million
Run - 0.10 million
Spirit - 1.70 million
Echo - 0.25 million
US + UK sales - 17.5 million
Once you add in other WW figures, she should be close to 25 million records sold!

I think 1D worldwide is around 30 million.
Very impressive figures all round for all the XF stars. Well done to all of them.
You're right. Been corrected, 1D at last count was 30 million worldwide
So that's 25 million outside the UK then...
Shame Leona's single sales fade so quickly after Bleeding Love! She could have been so huge worldwide with a first single and album like this...
By the way, 1D's view count on VEVO currently stands at 1.842.313.872 (#23 of ALL youtube channels, #7 of all VEVO channels; behind Rihanna, Bieber, Eminem, Gaga, Shakira and Beyoncé who have all been active for 2+ years more than One Direction). And they have 8.159.257 subscribers, which is #12 worldwide.
