Mud. 9/10, really liked it. I may have written the ending a little differently, but that's a minor quibble.

Tower Heist. Not the best film I've ever seen, but I've been so snowed under with revision I needed a film that I didn't need to pay attention too, was quite enjoyable

Perhaps I'm missing something but I wasn't gripped by the story and found the main character quite unlikeable.
It's a true-ish account, so the character isn't supposed to be likeable.

    I had a blurray Sunday: Orhpan (2009) | Prometheus (2012) | Source Code (2011)

None of them are quite classics for me but I enjoyed watching them all. Probably Source Code is the most entertaining if you can get past how preposterous it is.

    Colourful but formulaic animation.

Peggy Sue Got Married...Ok so not one of the greatest movies of all times..but took me back to the 80s and my teenage years..and enjoyed its light heartedness...I dont normally watch movies like this anymore..tend to go for gritty, depressing, disturbing viewing..made a nice change

The Adventures of Barry McKenzie (1972)

Early 70s Australian film comedy about a young aussies trip with his aunt (Dame Edna Everage ) to the home country. On the taxi from the airport ( prob Heathrow ) you see him passing Stonehenge!!! he heads into the rubbish littered streets of London - some of the references are dated but lots of funny jokes. The film ends with a bunch of Fosters swilling aussies putting out a fire at the BBC by peeing on it. So probably not for everyone.

    I laughed - more than i thought i would -8/10

I just finished watching it and I really enjoyed it. It's a strangely cheerful, fast-paced film about a NYC bike messenger (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) who's in a race against time to deliver a package. A lot of flashbacks are mixed in to complete the story. If you're a big fan of New York City then this film is a treat. About 90% of it is biking around Manhattan on a gloriously sunny day.

    Trailer LINK

I watched this on the plane back from America last month simply because it has JGL in it, and Aaron Tveit makes a cameo, but I really enjoyed it. Bought it on DVD the other day too!

Ambitious and pretentious. There should be more Hollywood movies like this.

Eastern Promises - one of David Cronenberg's better films, set in London about a Russian mafia syndicate. Viggo Mortensen and Vincent give really good performances. The Eastern European/Russian accents though are almost as bad as in an episode of Spooks :D
