Apparently Liberty X aren't carrying on after the big reunion tour and are using it as their farewell. I'd really like a greatest hits from them. They've had enough songs to fill one and enough unreleased or tracks released in other countries to make it a good two-disc package. Thoughts?
Their singles:
Thinking it over
Doin it
Just a little
Got to have your love
Holding on for you
Being nobody
Jumpin
Everybody cries
Song 4 lovers
A night to remember
Fresh
X
Album tracks released in other countries:
Practice what you preach
Greed
Willing to try
Then there are quite a few unheard tracks from there cancelled fourth album including covers of like a prayer and licence to kill

They were so good in their time and the music still sounds fresh.
Great vocals all round.
Was Kelli the lead singer?
I always loved that song. I liked the apartment they filmed the video in. Looked a very modern place
I don't think they officially had a lead singer, but (like Nadine in Girls Aloud) Kelli probably had the most leads in songs, followed by Kevin and Jessica.
I think Jessica tended to take the lead in ballads though, (such as Everybody Cries and Holding On For You).
Yeah, well I would say Kelli was the de facto lead singer. Even in Holding On For You, she's the one with the big vocal moment and in some songs she did nearly all the singing like the Richard X song...
I read somewhere that video was a p*sstake on manufactured pop music, but I could be wrong. Liberty X were sort of manufactured as they were formed on a TV show but they actually wrote or co-wrote a lot of their songs. Have a look at their album tracks and the writing credits and you'll see what I mean. I still have all of mine and I was thinking of adding them back to my iPod.
Oh I have all their albums - first one was best. 2nd and 3rd was okay at a push. A singles band for sure
I loved the first one and didn't mind the second one. Thought the third one was a bit weak in comparison to their other stuff but there were a couple of good songs on it.
& I usually despise covers.
Ironically, Just A Little is probably their best known song, but so far nobody's mentioned it!
I hated Song 4 Lovers. I thought it was a bit too happy-clappy gospel sounding. The rap parts seemed to be rather pointless. It was more like Reverend Run ft Liberty X. Thinkin' It Over and Just A Little were great songs. Just A Little is a pop classic as far as I'm concerned. Everybody Cries was ok too but wasn't there some controversy over the video because it was filmed on a disused railway line or something?
I'm not sure what you call it - maybe the bridge? - but there's a part Song For Lovers before the last chorus where the girls plus Tony harmonise and Kevin sings solo, then he and Kelli do a line together and then the last chorus kicks in - I love that bit, which makes the song for me.
I think you're right about Everybody Cries and the video controversy.
When I went to The Big Reunion everybody went nuts for Bein' Nobody.
Jumpin' was a great track as well..........that's it, I'm off to iTunes!
I love all their voices i'm curious as to why Jessica got leads more than michelle who can sing at least she could back in the day don't know about now I have a Cardiff arena live dvd which is really good and Jessica actually struggled live,
she may have improved now a really underated group.
The funny thing is , I wasn't a big Liberty X fan but when I see the list of songs , they're actually a decent collection
