    I'll record it!

I'm certainly very interested to hear the story but don't really fancy it around Christmas.

I knew he was a bit of a lecher, but having a hatchet-faced wife and working with hot chicks like Kelly, Novak, Leigh and Miles is it any wonder he tried it on occasionally?

    I shall be watching..

I may be wrong but I think that this tv drama focuses on the relationship between Hitchcock and Tippi Hedren whereas the film out in Feb concentrates more on the relationship between Hitchcock and his wife.

Yep looks good, he was a complicated man for sure and certainly had the hots for Grace kelly, and was said to be looking for any blonde that look liked grace after she went to monaco for his films.

    Sums up what I've heard.
As far as Hedren is concerned he tried to kill her career, because she wouldn't 'behave' for him.

Oh for those interested in Hitch, Radio 4's drama, Strangers on a Film, where Hitch and Raymond Chandler try to collaborate on a Film project is entertaining.
    Patrick Stewart plays Chandler IIRC.

I wonder why the two Hitchcock films they chose to put on after it are ones without Tippi Hedren

I think she's one of these who is famous for her love life, we forget what she does for a living.

I'm watching this on iPlayer tomorrow :)

Is it good so far? Apparently the critics didn't like it.

I didn't realise Hitchcock was quite such a weirdo. Really nasty.

Apparently he gave her a doll of her mother in a coffin.
Not sure how true that is.

Sienna is vastly underrated as an actress due to her beauty, which is a shame.

Sienna can act. It's good when an actress plays an actress.

Lovely soundtrack I must say. Reminds me of Michael Nyman's score for The Hours.

Think of it as a psychodrama, i.e. 'not a lot happens'.
It's lush to look at and great work from Toby Jones and Miller.

I am in tears, Sienna is making this so believable

Damn if this is even 50% true what that women endured as an object of unwanted affection

    For the sake of balance...

FWIW, I haven't seen this yet, but I'm always wary of biopics that have a clear agenda to push. The BBC did a complete hatchet job on Enid Blyton a few years ago IIRC.
