I'm a huge Torchwood fan, especially Eve Miles as Gwen. :)I haven't heard anything about what's happening to the show for months. Last I heard, in October, John Barrowman said there wasn't going to be a fifth series this year. Maybe, now it's four months later, things have changed.
We really do need another series soon, and set back in Wales where the show really belongs.
Anyone who knows any more info, I'd be grateful. Thanks!

If they do more it won't go back to being Walescentric though as I doubt the BBC would do anymore unless there was still involvement from Starz and they won't fund something totally set in Wales.
Barrowman is currently on Arrow but (just guessing) that's probably only a one season role.
No idea what Eve Myles is currently doing.

ARROWMAN! *shakes fist*
A Victorian-based alien hunting show might just work, with a format similar to that of Torchwood's first two series, but with a legitimately maturer edge. It'd allow room for Captain Jack to appear or cameo as well. Given the BBC want to branch out their filming further, why not film in Scotland... where Queen Victoria announced the formation of Torchwood
It could work, but the actor who plays Captain Jack is finally starting to show some age. Doing the show in the modern era, they could say that he actually aged some while he was briefly mortal and it could fly. However, going back in time, it would make it more difficult because he would look older when he is supposed to look the same.
At the end of Last of the Time Lords Jack said he was aging, slowly.
It could be a future Jack that Victorian TW encounter.
With Merlin and Being human gone, we are in need of some new british sci-fi, especially as it seems we are getting less Who this year and that Misfits is getting worse every year and is becoming less and less sci-fi
I think Torchwood has had it's day I'm afraid.
If Torchwood did that sort of thing again, I'd be all over it.
Agreed. I did quite like Miracle Day, but I still don't get it.
In the meantime, Torchwood has spawned 7 Radio Plays

It has always been regressive for the BBC not to adopt the Production Process which has been adopted (for example) within the US.... where the network owns the property, and new producers can replace anyone at a whim.
Yes, that is so, so sad! I really enjoyed watching SJA in the Autumn, each year, plus the repeats on CBBC channel on Sunday Mornings, during the early Spring, around April. I've got series 1-5 of SJA on DVD. I still don't get tired of watching these. Elisabeth Sladen is a true god when it comes to Doctor Who and anything to do with it. She seems to light up the screen every time I see her.
I've also got her autobiography, plus the CD version read by Caroline John (Liz Shaw in Dr Who in 1970). 12 CDs! That's going to take a lot of listening. I can still hear Lis's voice now, "Sarah Jane Smith. Remember?" That was her talking to Davros in Journey's End in 2008. She will never be forgotten.
Except that Starz, presumably, still have some say in the matter, and I think I read that they won't do it without RTD,
I don't know what the time limit is on the Starz rights to TW.
I know that JB said when he did the Exodus Code novel he had to get it approved by BBC, RTD and Starz.
He also said that he had to change a bit of it because RTD didn't want a particular character in a particular location on the book , because it didn't fit in with where RTD wanted that character to be in whatever he envisaged next for TW. JB didn't say which character it was.
I agree, it's very sad. The autumn season felt really empty last year.:(
We also never got to see the next 3 stories for the fifth series.

Just think, there could have been a series 7 of SJA this year, if only Lis was still here...
