I have moved into a new house and the garden is in perfect condition....but I have a flower bed and I can't stop cats crapping in it. I chase them away and they come back again.
I've read all over the internet of different methods, ranging from cds to pellets to putting pepper down but none seem to really make a difference. I just wondered if anyone had any methods that worked.

Why not buy them a cat portaloo instead?

I am seriously interested in this as my Mum has great problems.
I have cats myself - so I'm of no help whatsoever.
I will be interested to see the remedies
The distorted reflection causes the cats to shy away from crapping.

BTW I have two cats myself, and they never did anything in the garden after the bottles went down. Before hand they did a fair bit.
p.s. the water pistol did scare them off a good bit but not completely.

Now you got dogs crap instead!!!!
Yeah that will be a nice place to sit and relax haha!
Find out where teh owners live and return their 'parcels' to them
My cat dont stop them from coming in the garden and spraying, nor does he stop them from coming into the house and stealing his food, and he often gets the crap beaten out of him by the Tom cat next door.
Id get some lion poo as suggested but I dont want to keep my cat out of the garden.
I had unexplained dog crap in the garden yesterday, our garden is fenced off so the only way in is over a 5ft fence, just how it got in to leave its message is a mystery blooming dogs at least most cats bury it.
I was thinking a bucket of cold water hehe
My cat loves water.
My mum does this and swears by it. Always was fun when my friends asked why there were plastic bottles in the garden though!
i put down bleach each night on the stones, the cheap bleach from the supermarket, 28p a bottle, worked ok, it stopped for a bit, then the git came back........if i were to catch it, i think i would string it up:mad:
also tried jaggy sticks (like cocktail sticks or bbq skewers) into the earth - none of them worked
I'm now at the last resort - Jeyes fluid - stinks to the high heaven - but so far, no cat poop
Garden centres sell Jeyes Fluid and so do some supermarkets. I would recommend this in addition to a device which emits a high pitched sound, uncomfortable only to the ears of cats; you can buy these at garden centres, but they require batteries and will need changing immediately at the point they have run down, otherwise you may find that the cat will return to use your garden as a lavatory.
