This is rather intriguing. Imogen is supposed to be dead , and the guy who allegedly killed her gets out after 8 years.

However , they found some cartridge wadding ( is that what it's called) in a tree some 5 years after a murder , yeah right !

Yes, probably just about the most important piece of evidence, that could have corroborated the accused's version of events, and they couldn't be bothered to climb a tree.
Perhaps they didn't have any step ladders ?

They made heavy weather of Jack's vertigo so presumably that will become important later on.

Tbh I found it hard to follow what was going on and who was related to whom and how and when.

I was confused at the end who that woman and daughter were?

The woman is Imogen and the daughter is their daughter, I think.

These ridiculous plots have more holes than our 40 year old collander has. Entertaining, in a sort of way, if you have nothing better to do on a winter's evening. The trouble is with series such as this and Lewis et.al, all the characters seem to meld in to one and the women, in particular look so much alike that I end up confused and seemingly, I am not the only one.

Well, for me this new series is far more entertaining than previous series.

Everyone has their own take on a programme I suppose but for me the format is much improved. I like the new characters and the stories so far are not as self indulgent as some episodes in the past.

One could I suppose spend a lot of time analysing the detail silliness of this show. Easier though to just say it's a right load of rubbish.

It shouldn't be very confusing if you followed the story closely.

I had no difficulty at all in working out the characters.

If alan lane was inside for her murder then did Imogen fake her own death or in colusion with her mum sieze the chance when onother girl was murdered and have her identified as Imogen

I leave 'working things out' to my daytime life. When I watch TV I just like to enjoy without having to 'work it all out'. After all that's what they're supposed to do, isn't it...? This to me is the essencve of 'enjoyable entertainment'. Close the mind, put it to sleep, and open the heart to...a good story, play.

Which is exactky what can no longer happen with SW. If they had got someone remotely like Tom Ward it might have worked. Apparently one of the writers said that the producers thought the show needed a 'shot of testosterone'...

    What on earth for?!

It appears so. Everyone (including her mum) seems to think she is dead, even though a body was never found.
