Another thing about this film - Brian Glover is ace. He switches from being a buffoonish yokel telling crap jokes ('Ere, Gladys, did you hear the one about the crashing plane...") to being really sinister ("That's enough!!"). Everyone thinks of him as the voice of Tetley tea now but he was a great actor. He's superbly unpleasant in Alien 3, too.

Well said. The exchange with the doctor when he visits The Slaughtered Lamb was nerve-jangling.

    "Surely I'm not that impressive?"
    "No, no sir, you're not."

While I am here talkng about performance, Lila Kaye... just wonderful. From the initially split-second unsure welcome nod (I know it was just a nod of the head but it was beautifully done!) to her heartbreaking plea "you must go to them!". Bravo, lady.

I remember seeing it in the cinema and when Rik Mayall appeared about a dozen people went - "Kevin Turvey!"

Lad, nurse Gallagher had a look..:)
As a aside it also is the only werewolf film I have ever enjoyed
and could watch again and again. And the level of care given by nurse Price is second to none.

I love this film. My favourite scenes are - the one in the cinema where all of his victims are sat around him (on of the female victims being rather endearingly cheerful) and one scene which looks down from the top of the escalator (someone is trying to get away) and you see the werewolf emerging and looking up. Absolutely fabulous film which I do believe stands the test of time.

When Alex and David find out about the murders in the back of a taxi, the driver is Brick Top, from Snatch. I think he was in Lock, Stock as well.

John Altman (Nasty Nick Cotton from Eastenders) played one of the policemen.

The actor who plays the doctor appeared in Coronation Street a couple of years ago.

Yes he did! I remember shouting it out when I saw him. "That's the Doctor! From Werewolf in London!!"

I agree with the earlier comments about Brian Glover's performance. It really was excellent.
