I had no idea about this but it's true. The Flaming Lips and Kesha have teamed up for an exclusive collab album due out this year.

The problem is most Flaming Lips fans would keep well away from anything by Kesha, and most Kesha fans have probably never heard of the Flaming Lips.

Can't say I'm looking forward to this. I don't like Ke$ha's rockier songs at all, she should stick to electro-pop.

It should be interesting. Kesha is best when she does electro, but Party At The Rich Dude's House was decent from her rockier songs though.

The Flaming Lips have already worked with Kesha - she did vocals on one track of their 'The Flaming Lips and Heady Fwends' collaboration album, while the band produced 'Past Lives', one of the bonus tracks on 'Warrior'. So maybe the album will have a similar sound to one of these:

    Kesha - Past Lives

I think it could go either way - it might turn out great, but it could just as easily be a car-crash. I'm definitely interested in hearing what they come up with though.

I thought they had a big fall out over the video Wayne Coyne used for their Hweady Fwiends collaboration?
