If Clara doesn't reconise the Cybermen on Saturday I will be very angry.
Doomsday was possibly RTD best finale and if it has been erased it will be a travesty

Of course it does, if it didn't than Rose will never have been trapped in an alternative universe in the first place.
Besides the cracks, that was my favourite explanation
Somebody probably still has telesnaps.
After miracle day I don't think Torchwood is canon in Doctor Who now
^This.
As I said a few days ago, when you have the population of modern-day Earth knowing about aliens, what you have is no longer the world we as the viewers are familiar with.
And that's why I don't want to see any more modern-day Earth invasions for a while, there's only so many times you can get away with retconning them out.
That's the problem with the cracks erasing major episodes in the Who cannon. Nothing major changes if the Cyberking never strolled over London, but both Donna and Rose would still be traveling with The Doctor if their respective exist story lines had never happened.
Of course then there's the school of thought that the cracks erase just the memory of the event, not the event it's self (like for example, Amy and River both still being alive despite the fact one or even both of their parents had never existed), but then you've still got all the news / home-video footage of the Dalek/Cyber Invasions to explain away...
I can't remember them saying that, but I do remember Ryhs thinking that the Cybermen were hallucinations caused by a terrorist attack on the water supply.
Although again how that explains away the video footage I don't know.
I think that was left open. Craig didn't imply he remembered the Cybermen but I don't think he really implied he didn't either.
I do think it's likely the events of Amy of Ghosts/Doomsday won't be remembered on Saturday as I imagine Moffat and Gaiman are going to want the Cybermen to be brand spanking new, scary and unknown to Clara and the kids.
Maybe he was Scuba Diving in Spain - with a hangover:o
I was shocked (at first) about the Daleks and Stolen Earth/Journeys End with Amy in series 5.....but then it all made snese as it was all brought back...so yeah...lets just see
Rose may still have ended up in the other universe, but not necessarily by the same route. Maybe in Big Bang 2 universe there was a quiet and small scale dalek and cybermen invasion that nobody much noticed. But Rose still got trapped.
I thought so too. Even the Doctor. But not Amy's crack. Or something...
In this month's DWM, when asked if everything had been restored or not, Moffat said "Yes, sometimes. No, other times".
It's basically down to what he wants for the story, and in his own words the cracks "allow aliens to be scary shocks again" which I'm almost certain he's going to want to apply to the Cybermen this week. So I think Army of Ghosts and Doomsday will have gone bye bye from Clara and the kids memory.
Actually all his Q&A answers in DWM over the last few months have been excellent, even when tongue in cheek!
It's good that people know about the alien interactions with Earth when it's appropriate to the story in question, but better that they're presented as not knowing most of the time.
The prime example of this for me is the "fish man" driver stopping at the crossing at the beginning of one of the Torchwood episodes, and the elderly woman crossing looking at the apparent man with a fish's head behind the wheel, and just saying "bloody Torchwood!" before moving on as if this was perfectly normal!
Fine up to a point, and they went too far the other way often IMO with the classic series where even dinosaurs in the middle of London were just conveniently forgotten about, but you really don't want people to be seen shrugging their shoulders and saying "oh dear, not again" every time there's an alien invasion threat. Rather removes the tension!
Why wouldn't she recognise them?
It's not as if she has seen them before, has she?
Do not spoil anything, ok?
I'm in a spoiler-free mood.
Why not?
+1
yes- lets keep the bulk of humanity not knowing there could be Daleks appearing at any moment. It's much more exciting that way because no one knows except UNIT and a few others.
There was a time back a few years ago when it must have been like people would look up in the sky and think 'oh, another invasion fleet, yawn. come on then get it over with'.
Well yes. If the events of the Series 2 final have not been erased, then unless Clara was Scuba Diving in Spain, she and the rest of the world would remember the Cybermen from said final (it was hardly a quite little affair - Cybers in every home and all that).
