Couldn't disagree more.
I really don't understand all the hate he gets on here, everyone I know loves him. He's just an incredibly relaxed and down to earth guy
Agreed!
Yes he can sing but I am heartily sick of him singing about pain and the judges falling over themselves about how he is releasing all this emotion.
It just goes on and on and on... He loves nothing better than wallowing in a cesspit of his own misery and that's all he can do.
A miserable one trick pony and totally lacking in likeability factor.
There are definitely others worse than him. I don't dislike him but I don't like him either.
He has a great voice but he just does not suit X Factor. He and Lucy (and to some extent MK1) are suffering from the same problem. Once it gets to live shows the X Factor is a glorified karaoke competition and credit to Lucy and James that is not their thing, they are totally individual and having them cover other songs is just making them look like spluttering fishes out of water.
Loving james! Don't get all the hate! Understand if you don't like his singing style but what's so unlikable about his personality? He seems very down too earth to me a little reserved but genuine. He doesn't have s*** on grimshaw though
Unfortunately 90% of the voting public really don't care about ability or talent, so long as they are 'entertaining'! Kind of sad considering the programme is supposed to be a singing/music competition.
He plainly means every word, but then so does every lurching drunk I've ever met: and all the while he's in some weird zombie / trance vibe where moaning at the top of his voice is presented as singing. Then the song's over and he reverts to exuding casual menace. Most unlikeable contestant of all time? I think so, for me, by a clear head from Misha B.

Perhaps you missed that the programme is called The X Factor. :rolleyes:The ability to pitch a note is not enough.

glad I'm not alone.

Agree - found her and Cher so irritating that year
I agree james all the way!
And then we found out that he can't handle criticism, even though he's appearing on a show that requires you to be judged by millions of people.
