Good move or bad? As much as it will be nice to see him back on screen I don't think he is the right personality for this sort of show. He appears to be someone who, I think, would prefer to sit in the background and only get involved by trying to prevent arguments or console people when things get heated as they usually do. Might be wrong but it is a strange choice for me personally.
If anyone from Dr Who was to enter I would have liked it to be Sophie Aldred (always had a soft spot for Ace)

Good luck to him, he's always seemed a nice guy and came over very well on CDWM apparently.
Better he gets the benefit from a show like this than those who are only famous for being famous.
I don't consider it tacky. If he'd appeared on Big Brother which is a show way past it's time that should have been axed years ago instead of languishing on Channel 5 where not many people see it, that would be tacky. Instead he's actually appearing on a Prime time TV Show which lots of people see. (Assuming of course he IS appearing considering it hasn't been officially announced yet)
What I like about this show is there is no hiding place for celebs, I watched it last year and not naming names there was one celeb in particular who I thought one cool dude who acted a complete t**t.
If he does appear I don't see CB being like that. He'll be who he is, I don't see him being the sort to act up to camera...despite being an actor!
Would that have been an actor from a certain northern-based ITV soap?
Unfortunately.
I won;'t be watching: I can't be doing with any of those vote-em-off programmes, whether it's Big Brother, Celeb Jungle, X Factor or Strictly. If he's gone for it, it's a pretty astute move: he has a readymade fan base who'll vote to keep him in, and he's a nice guy who can be very plainspeaking when needed.
I don't agree that he's not getting a huge amount of work. He's done at least two national theatre tours this year; he probably has a panto lined up; he's done the odd telly; he gets paid okay for doing conventions, signings and PAs. He's probably happy to be able to pick and choose his work now he's getting older and his kids are out of school.
Frankly, the thought of being trapped in a jungle full of creepy crawlies with Nadine Dorries for company is enough to make me consider taking an overdose.
But God wanted her to be an MP, don't ya know.

Fixed that for you
I don't watch that mysteriously named Northern Soap that is on ITV and has been running for over 50 years. But it isn't said actor or any actor and as I said, I'm not naming names. If you watched it last year you should know whom I was referring to.
You like his old costume?!!!!
Space Hi-vis.
No, to me, brought up as I was with black and white TV and grandparents who, for some reason unfathomable - perhaps it's a war time frugality thing - seemed to believe that as they were paying for a colour license, by God, they were going to get as much colour as they could, turned the colour knob up to 11... well, retinal scarring was a real danger with that outfit!
Spare a thought for those creepy crawlies trapped with Nadine Dorries.
He mentioned in a recent issue of Vortex (the Big Finish magazine) that he had been pretty quiet lately and didn't have much work lined up - hence my comment.
Strangely enough in the same issue he said he would consider doing Celeb if asked - as a good way to lose weight if nothing else!
He's done a lot of theatre recently, but I imagine TV pays more
Good luck, Colin!
Surely you could see it as the third part of a Kinda, Snakedance, I'm a Celeb triology.
