Rihanna or The Who

Firstly, I'm not comparing the two artists. How can you? Legendary 60's rockers vs a modern RnB pop artist!

This thread is just for fun.

Both acts are playing the Tyne and Wear area tonight (20/6/2013).

Let's say I can get you free transport and a free ticket to either gig, which one would you choose?

(inspired by a feature on this mornings BBC Newcastle Breakfast Show)

Who would you rather see if you were handed a free ticket? 101 votes

The Who are one of the greatest live acts of all time, and having seen them the other night, they still are.

    No contest for me.

The Who for me too. They're playing Newcastle tonight but I don't have a ticket. What did you think of the support act, Vintage Trouble?

Rihanna, since I like more of her songs. I've hardly seen any artists I like live though. :( Only Pendulum and Professor Green so far, and they were both amazing. :D

The Who, because they actually have talent.

I'd go see the artist least likely to smash me over the head with a microphone.

Indeed much better than a puppet who has no involvement in her own material; and frequently treats her fans with disdain.

I'd never heard of them before, and soul rock is not my style normally, but I have to say they were great entertainment. So much energy, and they got the place going.

Not my style either usually but someone recommended them to me few days ago, so I checked them out & really liked them.

The singer has a bit of the James Brown about him, and at one point was walking around the Arena singing, and at the end, the whole band did a lap of honour around the floor area. Never seen that before. :)
