I think the OP is confusing female strippers with lapdancers where the men aren't allowed to touch. Thre's no such thing as male lap dancers, so a male stripper at a birthday or hen night is the same as at a ladies night, whereas a female stripper at a birthday party is completely different to a female stripper at a lapdancing club.

My flatmates threw me a party for my 21st. The main revue group that do this (Loverboys) use genuine ladies nights with planted actors for the more explicit stuff.
Some such events are indeed staged, completely, but some aren't - and, as Aneechik implies, there may be shades of grey in between.
