Will Alesha Dixon Return To Music?

I love Alesha and her music, I think she's a great performer and she's too good of a popstar to go to waste.
I love her on BGT but I want another album from her, her profile is very high so she should release new music.

But she's been recording for 2 years and I don't know if she's got a record deal, I thought she would of released something last year.

She has also said that Mis Teeq are going to reform, so is she gonna release new solo music or get Mis Teeq back together?

Now that she's pregnant she may put it all on hold for a year, though I suppose some women have continued whilst pregnant (Neneh Cherry for example)

She has everything it takes be successful, Its a shame she's taking so long to release something although she has been busy in TV.

Now that she is part of the ITV family i wouldnt be surprised if she rejoins mis-teeq as part of 'The Big Reunion' series 2...

But The Alesha SHow was a decent album she does have ALOT of potential!

I wonder what she was thinking when she released "Drummer Boy"

What a career killer that song was.

The Entertainer album is better then The Alesha Show, I love them both though.

Its a shame it flopped, the release date timing was off.

I love Alesha but she was never meant to be a solo singer with that voice:o

I doubt it she really isn''t that much of a commercial investment. 1 moderate selling album and only 2 hits in an otherwise lacklustre career riddled with flops. It'd be a brave label to taked her on she is best stuck on a panel.

She lacks real success but is a fab singer. Her last two albums have been excellent. I love how she makes the music she wants to and her voice is instantly recognisable.

The album went platinum, The Boy Does Nothing was a big hit in Europe, she was nominated for a Brit Award and a successful tour.

I wasn't a massive fan of Mis-teeq (aside from Scandalous of course) but love her solo stuff. 'The Entertainer' is a brilliant album and should have performed much better. I love her on the telly too. Very funny lady.

Her music got progressively worse as her career went on. 'Lipstick' and 'Knockdown' were brilliant pop/R&B songs and didn't deserve to flop. 'The Boy Does Nothing' and 'Breathe Slow' were decent enough but were cheesy and bland respectively. 'Let's Get Excited' was distinctly average while 'Drummer Boy' was just absolutely horrendous. I don't know whether to admire or shake my head at her for taking such a risky move. Props to her for not playing it safe but, then again, she really should if that's the only alternative to the mess that was DB. Maybe her and her label believed she was bigger than she actually was at the time and could pull of an edgy sound? Sadly it single-handedly killed her solo career.

Now Mis-Teeq, they were brilliant and should definitely reform. 'All I Want', 'Can't Get It Back' and 'Style' were their best singles by far.

"My time, showtime, hoopline..." :D - I only came across that when one of the BGT contestants impersonated her (right in front of her face).

Like i said 1 moderate album. 2 hit singles and sorry forgot to mention a Brit nomination. But 1 scrapped album, 1 flop album and a string of consecutive flop singles. On blance i'll stick with my original oppinion that it is highly unlikely anyone would bother investeing in her.
