Did you get a coffee machine? I didn't want a pod one either....can't see the point in not being able to make a pot of coffee....so ended up with a good old- fashioned filter machine....supplemented by a Bodum jug for occasional use ;)

I do like my coffee, you see :D Have taken recently to serving it with a tiny Lindt chocolate egg.....well, after dinner anyway :)

It sure is addictive! :p I just managed to get away for a couple of hours to watch the football, though

Oh, and to do some laundry......daughter works in a nursery and brought home 20+ cot sheets for washing. Guess who ended up doing them on a Saturday evening, while she went out on a date? :D The things you do......;):D

    how civilised......that sounds lovely....

Ive given up trying to make coffee.......as well as those made in coffee shops....their machines are so much more efficient, and cos they use them daily the coffee is lovely and fresh and the machines are lovely and clean as well. :D

    Well Augusta
i agree the coffee shops are good
but i want a decent coffee in the morning and a choice, as soon as i wake up
so its a coffee machine or moving to live above a coffee shop :o:D

its a minefield, i keep thinking i found the one i want, then i read the reviews and it puts me off
so i think this is going to take longer than i thought

    good morning JJat
loooking forward to the Rugby Today

    Another post from me!!!!

I know we have only just finished Christmas, but does anyone fancy a weekend in Lille in November to go Christmas shopping? It is cheaper than Paris and there is a good museum, antique shops and generally good shopping. If anyone fancies this, please send me a PM. Eurostar goes from St Pancras in London.

that sounds a lovely idea, and we were also thinking of meeting up for tea one afternoon.......shall we start with choosing a particular month....?

    Morning all!

Have you looked through WHICH magazine georgy? They take a lot of stress out of deciding about appliances. Local libraries usually have copies if you aren't a member. I will look through my back copies to see if there is anything?

Good to see you nat and bblover. Hope you are both well and happy.

My hometown got 40 inches of snow but the main roads are clear and shops are open. All this done within 24 hours.

The day-school was great. Had a wonderful time and was told that my drawings were GOOD! Only problem - I was pooped!!!

Busy week - osteopath, dentist, visit to Bodleian reserve collection, physio - such an exciting life I lead.

Good idea Augusta :). I can't quite think as far ahead as November but I'd love to meet up for tea. Would April be a good month for people (after Easter)? Perhaps around the middle of the month? :)
