Oh jeez, tomorrow I'll be thinking about it all day. We're pretty sure their scene is tomorrow right? Doug will calm my nerves
Same.
I'm sure it has to be, to create a build up to Brendan offering them money. I've been thinking that Brendan might see Ste crying over the business, and that's what sparks it.
LOL yes, same. I always start thinking about all the bad things that could happen, convince myself of one of them, and then prepare for the worst.
Ha! Oh I was the same. I got right worried, and then I was like, oh, they're not having a scene, then BOOM Brendan appeared behind Ste and the nerves came racing right back.
I don't think it's a good thing, to get so nervous over a soap.
I remember Brendan was meant to be pissed off at his now BFF Joel () and I was so afraid that he was going to do/say something horrible to Ste.
I feel way to emotionally involved with HO sometimes. When the characters I like are having a hard time, I either feel really sad, or I cry.

Aww.
Well sort of aww because if he sees Ste crying and is all, oh I need control, I won't be happy but if he sees Ste crying and is all, oh I want to help somehow, I'll be happy.
Wasn't that the one were you also expressed your love of Sinead?
Todie seems to be ditched, as does Dynsey. which is a bit wierd, surely they must notice the reaction to Todie in comparison to Dodxas? (it's their ship name, I've decided)
YOU LEAVE SINEAD BE.
LOL @ Dodxas. Well, you'd like to think she's noticed. I mean, seriously, not a hint of a Dodxas shipper have I ever seen.

Exactly. It would be lovely if it's like this, because we'd see him all sad at seeing Ste upset. I just think that something quite bigish would have to happen for him to suddenly want control after this time apart.
I get nervous about an episode when I know Brendan and Ste are going to be in it to be honest. Which isn't often really but it's still bad.
I remember freaking out during the entire 'job reference' episode and then their scene was 30 seconds long [/QUOTE]
Their scene in the reference episode makes total sense now. Now that we know that Brendan is still in love with Ste he was looking for a way back in to his life and his 'what can i do for you' was all about his wanting Ste to need him for something
I don't know how I feel about them being back tomorrow! It feels like about 2 years since anything interesting happened. I actually feel slightly in shock, as if McDean were back or something.

I'd actually be less shocked to find out JP had moved home than to see Brendan and Ste have an interesting convo.
No, it's great, I'm just a bit stunned really. I honestly thought they'd give Brendan some separate material first, but I guess this means he can lurk in the background of Stug's story, while doing his gangstery stuff with the new villain, and they might kind of run alongside. Maybe.
Just playing a bit of catch up - is the bank scene tomorrow then? I've been a bit pre-occupied this week so feel I'm out of sync with what's going on.
I love the idea that Brendan is motivated to do something to help Ste as he witnesses him break down to Amy or whatever, maybe this triggers the guilt and the recognition that Ste is a father, just like him and that his inability to secure a job / plan a future is a huge deal to him etc. Would love to see a comment that states about all he's been through and wanting his kids to have better etc. Really want Brendan to feel awful, want to comfort Ste but know he can't, so feels the best way he can help is to create the chance to buy the deli etc.
Obv in front of Ste Brendan will be all business, just want to see that he's affected by Ste still, that he has a softer side - its just buried for now lol.
Anyway, probably doesn't make sense - but thank you for allowing me to ramble!

I feel the same! I wasn't expecting such a nice surprise so soon

Yes, I feel they're going to have it running at the same time. Which is the way the show works best, I feel. As in, I like how the miscarriage story dovetailed into the Riley plot tonight.
So this way, I guess Brendan can bubble along with Stug, as well as do villain stuff, as you say.

So agree with this. This is why I think the storyline and both characters worked best in 2010. Brendan had other storylines going on, and interacted with different characters. But there was always him and Ste at the heart of it. I hated that during the Silas plot, they seemed to be unable to run both stories together.

Hullo.
BIB: Nah, that's Monday's E4.
It'll be interesting to see how they play it, especially if he does reveal to Doug that he's doing it for Ste, cos although the control plays a part, he can't tell Doug that, surely?!

I hope so. Brendan's involvement in their business is actually a great little way to keep that connection between them, with the added drama of Ste being oblivious bubbling away too. Then, as you say, some stuff of his own. And if any of the villian stuff overlaps with the Ste/Doug stuff, all the better.
Comments
I could never watch with anyone else!
If someone comes in while Ste and Brendan are on, I just bat them away with my hand.
They turn me into an impolite person
Same.

I cried for half of ILY week
I know, but it felt like an even bigger let down when nothing actually happened. But then we over analysed every second of that scene so it's all good
We'll all be sitting there tomorrow chewing our fingernails off
ETA: I think there will be a Stendan scene tomorrow at some point, it seemed like ES was going though the scenes in order anyway.
I actually lock the door.
Aww.

The shame.
Oh you're lucky, you!
Oh my! She looks like a completely different person.
They do a good job of making her look so.... icky onscreen.
Yeah, it'll mainly be Brendan/Joel and Tony/Stug, I think?
*goes to read*
I bet you wished you woz her.
Good idea. I need to get a lock...

I sort of hate that it's a Friday tomorrow, because I know I'll be dying to see the next episode.
BIB: He's in my bad books, him.
My hate of Sinead has faded a bit, to be honest, Maddie eclipses her by a country mile.
I've just realised you can't say Dodxas out loud, oh well.
It's not bad enough to be hated and not even good enough for a ship name.
Hmmmmm.
I don't know how I feel about them being back tomorrow! It feels like about 2 years since anything interesting happened. I actually feel slightly in shock, as if McDean were back or something.
That's big coming from you, love! The original Tony fan!
Mine too, actually.
I'm pronouncing it as "Dodge-sis"
I'll that that as a yes.
Don't worry, that odious Jon Paul isn't back.

The man won't let Stug cook pizza in his oven. He's pushed me to it.

And then he tries to get the deli for himself. The double crossing twerp. ;)
Hush your mouth

It will be the longest weekend ever.

Could he not tempt yer with his bum?
Thank yer Which moment, may I ask? I used a few bits from The List.
