I have the K800i and the joystick has worn out so it 'selects' when I want to go down. When browsing the internet this slows down the procedure and also when texting.
Looking online I see the K850 repaced it but that has been discontinued. What came next please? I want the same phone but the modern version.
Thanks for any help.

They're both discontinued too.
There is no comparable replacement on the market now, the entire Cybershot range was done away with and Sony don't produce any non-smartphones any more.
So the C905 was the last - thanks. Perhaps I sould try and finmd one of those in new condition. Are they a good phone?
I had the C905. It was a good phone at the time, but it very quickly began to feel outdated. Now, it would feel like an antique.
Is there a specific reason you don't want to go for a smartphone?
I do like the joystick to move around the screen/go back a character on a text/select a phone number when browsing the net. Also the buttons are nice for writing a text (I don't use predictive) and the phole phone is small and well built.
I thought about the smart phone option but there were enough negatives like no tactile buttons and the size to at least make me see what new phones available in the K800i line. A 'smart K800i' would be just perfect.
At a guess, the camera? There isn't (currently) a mainstream phone with a camera that'll better any of these in all round still ability.
They had a common fault with the earpiece.
I went through 4 of them until O2 thankfully let me swap to an entirely different phone.
Unlikely; repair cost would be pretty high.
If you look around you may be able to find another K800, although if you do go that route, look for either the K810 or K850.
