It would also be interesting to know which TV channels around the world will be showing the "worldwide TV broadcast". UK+USA+AUS+NZ+Canada do not the world make. Which channels have bought the show, and will they screw it up by dubbing it? Or will it simply be shown on the BBC Enterprises channels, like BBC Entertainment and BBC Knowledge and the continental/Scandinavian version of BBC HD? Do they reach the 70 or so countries mentioned?

While no specific countries were mentioned the original press release did say there would be Cinema showings outside the UK.
On top of the worldwide TV broadcast, hundreds of cinemas in the UK and across the world also plan to screen the hotly anticipated special episode simultaneously in full 3D, giving fans the opportunity to make an event of the occasion and be part of a truly global celebration for the iconic British drama series.
On top of the worldwide TV broadcast, BBC AMERICA will announce in the coming weeks details of select 3D screenings of the anniversary episode in theatres in the U.S.

That said, with the special eye of a temporary emigrant, this bit looks new to me:
So that's very exciting!
That list was actually in the link posted! Not sure why Dogmatix thought it was only going to be the 5 he/she listed...
Ah thanks I was just searching for where it came from.

Ahh, yes. In my excitement I misread that line.
Ooops.
Fox and Fox HD in Germany are only available to subscribers of Sky Deutschland, one of whom I am not.
Fortunately, however, I can receive Polish TV, including BBC Entertainment. Not in HD or 3D, of course, but I've ordered the 3D Bluray.
