Or be given some sort of compensation/reimbursement for being fired over making a joke over what a horrible man we now know Jimmy Savile to be.
Frankly, Rob Brydon offers nothing to the program other than making silly faces and causing some of the most awkward, cringey moments to have ever taken place on a panel show.

I didn't know that's why Angus Deayton was fired but I did prefer him presenting than Rob Brydon.
....
Well perhaps you could shed some light, maybe?
So I can then dismiss it out of hand, I mean.

WILTY....
Not HIGNFY...
You think they not connected...? and what's with all the HIGNFY can't you just put Have I Got News For You or Would I Lie To You
That doesn't really answer the question on why he was sacked.
No....
Deayton was dismissed from HIGNFY because his personal life came into conflict with what the humour on the show dealt with...
Having been hired for WILTY, they knew what he'd done before, and knew that his previous public shamings wouldn't be in direct conflict with the humour of the show.
I don't see how a transgression from 7 years earlier could have cost him a job that he'd already been given, what with the producers knowing about his prior drugs scandal.
Well no, because the topic is on his sacking from WILTY, and not HIGNFY.
Two completely different shows.
The joke was written by the shows writers not him. He was dropped because he was a dire host with zero chemistry with either David Mitchell or Lee Mack.
The idea that he was sacked because a Savile joke is even a bigger myth than the famous 'HIGNFY Savile transcript'
The show only got a 3rd series because BBC 1 wanted a vehicle for Rob and other pilots failed.
Since Rob took over the shows ratings have improved markedly and the show has won many awards.
How anyone thinks Angus was a good host of this is beyond me. He wasn't able to improvise to save his life. Talk about an Autocutie.
Meanwhile, thrilled Rob said: “I’m a big fan of Would I Lie To You? and I’m really looking forward to joining David and Lee in my new role as host.”

While many other sources have said that Deayton was fired for delivering the joke about Savile. Two very different reasons. I wonder which sounds more credible.
Besides, as if a show source would try and quell show damaging rumours...
So you're just presenting your opinion rather than any details of why he was removed?
Lol div for brains read the link in the post above not my opinion was a quote.
So it was related to him doing drugs and sleeping with prostitutes then? Thats what you say in your post I quoted?
Div for brains indeed.
You do realise that Angus fronted another extended series of WILTY a full year after the Savile joke?
The lesson here is not to believe everything you read on Wikipedia.
...or posts by steveh31
And you do realise that they could have chosen not to renew his expiring contract after that series, based on his joke about Savile, right?
The lesson here is to think on.
Yes I have supplied two links which show he was sacked from Have I Got News For You for drugs and prostitutes and a link to show he was sacked from Would I Lie To You for his act being tired and lame.
So explain that stupid comment above.
If you are incapable of understanding the question and why what you posted was inaccurate then I'm afraid there's nothing I could post that would allow you to understand.
Carry on regardless though.
Seems you are capable of understanding the BBC didn't want him anymore end of they do not have to answer to you who they choose to front their programmes,
You're getting confused...best to leave it there.
I'm going to leave now.....#backs out of thread#
