Posted a parcel recorded delivery last Friday that hasn't arrived yet.
I can't find the receipt anywhere, does anyone know if i tell the post office where i did it the address and post code can they either give me another receipt or the tracking number.

I'm stuffed if i can't track it or find out what's happened.

You've used the wrong service if you wanted to be able to track an item through the postal system.

Recorded Delivery (actually it's now called "Recorded Signed For") is not a tracked service. It provides for a signature when/if an item is delivered.

Special Delivery is the "tracked" service - i.e. Royal Mail can say when and where an item is at any time.

Best ask at the branch of the Post Office where you posted the item what it can do to help you.
