Same here. I never watched it until this season, but quickly caught up due to the daily repeats. Love it, such great performances and a nice balance of serious plot/action and humour.
^Same here. In fact I've stopped watching 5-O all together now I've "found" LA.
I wasn't keen on that NCIS:Red spin off/back door pilot, not surprised it got canned. Although as crap as the episodes were, you still have some great LA moments - such as Hetty checking up on them.

I didn't like red either. Was not at all surprised it didn't get picked up. I do love Hawaii 5-0
Here's another one who prefers NCISLA over H50. LA seems to revel in being a bit tounge in cheek while i find Hawai quite po faced!
Agreed. One episode immididately springs to mind when I read that - the one where Deekes and Kensi were undercover as a married couple. The scene where he finds her in the bathroom was hilarious. "Walking away slowly so you can catch me"
Heck the whole episode was a gem, I'd rank it in my top three along side the Russian spy two-parter. Hetty saying "bugger" at being discovered in the closet still cracks me up. And yet even with those moments they still had great moments of suspense and action.
Sad to say, all 5-O has now is Kamekona. There are only so many jokes about shrimp.

I know its hard to warm to characters you only get 2 episodes to see but they all seemed to lack any endearing qualities. I think the only highlight of the entire pilot was the fact that the trucks were called Laverne and Shirley.

Me too, 5 0 got too silly. Kono able to beat up special forces mercenaries twice her size with her standard police training.
Danny was the only character I liked. Wish they'd give him a spin off series.
Yeah, Red didn't appeal to me too much. having the lead two characters fighting seemed like it would get annoying after a while.
Perfect Finale Ep. Just hope they don't sweep it all away and reboot in one Ep on its return, I hate it when shows do that! Deeks not giving up Sam's wife was brilliantly done, with the early eps stuff, about Sam not trusting him to have his back etc. The Kiss, wow been waiting two years for that!
I hope this show doesn't go the same way as every other American show I like and be cancelled.
Last time I checked NCIS: LA was the 2nd most watched drama series in the US, for as long as it maintains the ratings it had over the past 4 years it’ll continue to get renewed year after year, no question.
It gets acceptable ratings on Sky One, although they did pay a fortune for it originally so my guess is that it hasn’t quite delivered the ratings they wanted. I think they went for the exclusive lifetime rights to it so I’m sure it’ll continue to air on Sky One.
Interestingly Hawaii Five-O performs much better than NCIS: LA ratings-wise on Sky One (even though they didn’t even chose to buy the rights, they inherited them when they bought out Bravo), while in the US NCIS: LA is a big ratings success and Hawaii Five-O has started to struggle.
I hate cliffhangers. we know they'll escape somehow. I much prefer when the action is wrapped up by the end of the season but the hook into the next season is character based. So Deeks kissing Kensi would have been a better cliffhanger.
I like how Game of Thrones has the big action episode as the second last episode and the finale wraps it all up nicely.
I guess this will play into how Sam didn't want Deeks as his back up, Sam is all ship shape and Navy by the book but Deeks is fly by the seat of his pants.
But after this when Deeks holds out and doesn't endanger Quinn Sam will have to respect him.
I do kind of hope someone dies (bare with me!) with all cliffhangers, by the end of ep one of the next series, everyones ok and they just all move like nothing happened. Would love this to be different, even if its "just" quinn that dies, at least then we get to see how Sam recovers and how it changes him as an agent, from the col, balanced guy he currently is.
One thing that has made me mad with this show is the way that Kensi and Sam have both time and again belittled Deeks. I'm hoping that Deeks standing up to what was thrown at him at the end will mark a change in their attitudes to Deeks. Not keen on the 'nerds' in Ops. Hetty is excellent, Callen is favourite character, and not entirely sure about Granger.
I love the flirtations and teasing between kensi and deeks its so funny
Yeah, if it wasn't for Hetty & these 2 i wouldn't be watching. The two geeks are annoying and LL Cool J & Chris O'Donnell are as wooden and crap as ever.
yeah, good to have this back. I gave up on H50 last year but this show I still enjoy.
I hope they explore Deeks' trauma after the torure and he's not back to normal next week as if nothing ever happened.

Put my first sentence in spoiler tag in case I have got it wrong or ruined it for anyone.

Anyone catch the season premiere? It was ok I guess, nothing too shocking (thankfully after the previous season finale).
