  Is it on PAYG? TMobile offer a discounted price on a new one if its sim has been topped-up enough: take the SIM into a TMobile shop and enquire about prepay-upgrades.

  Yes it's PAYG but probably not been used enough to get an upgrade. I'll give it a shot though.
