Its so great!
She just needs to make a video where she is swinging around naked on a chandelier or something .
I'M SCREAMING AT THIS!
Are you screaming "YES!" or "NO!"? :D
I don't personally think it would be a good move on her part, but my comment was more a jibe against those shocked at Miley doing this. Next people will be claiming that the topless video for Blurr Lines was the reason it's been such a hit, and it has nothing to do with it being so damn catchy.
She should have done it for her debut with swinging naked from the tainted cherry tree....at least it would have tied in with the album title and not appear completely random and gratuitous:D
YES!:D
But then again I've been waiting best part of 2 years for this album, another week or two won't kill me... In all seriousness, the ridiculous wait will impact on this album, I just really hope it's worth the wait. The previews sound fantastic, yes a little dated, but that Xenomania sound (I believe Miranda Cooper was involved) never gets old for me so I'm still looking forward to this, not as excited as I would've been even a year ago, but looking forward to it.
Why don't you just buy it online at Amazon etc?
'Smoke' is my instant fav.
Amazon takes absolutely ages to deliver to me, I'm in Ireland. I did order Natalia Kills however which was released last Monday so god knows when I'll get it... I will get my hands on Vickers somehow
Still has she even had much promotion? I didn't even realise she had released any singles let alone had another album out.
Damn I would be lost without Amazon.
Got mine yesterday too
I prefer the original version of Music To Make Boys Cry as the remix is a tad over produced. Otherwise I like the album
I'm pretty impressed with it, she's got some catchy songs on there! I don't expect it to do to well, but she's on an indie label so the pressure on her isn't too heavy. Being in the top 20 on iTunes is already a success given the lack of promotion!
I was a little bit worried that after such a long long wait, anything that Diana released wouldn't live up to my high expectations, but I'm happy to say that she didn't let me down and actually managed to put together a really strong collection of songs. I think my highlights were Lightning Strikes, Boy In Paris, Blame Game and the title track (though at this point, that song feels like an l'd favourite from years ago!
I guess it's to late for this to be a huge success or to get the credit I think it deserves, but after all this time I'm just glad it finally saw the light of day!
I can't really say much bad about the album because I really enjoyed pretty much all of it, but there is a little part of me that feels sad that Diana appears to have completely thrown herself into this genre. I do enjoy this type of music and I think that Diana has made a very strong album from it, but at the same time, I do kind of miss the girl who went onto XF singing songs like The Blowers Daughter and I kind of wish there was a little bit more of that in this album. I felt her first album, whilst a bit more hit and miss had a lot more of that type of thing and to be honest, I tend to listen to those songs more than the electropop numbers from her first CD...
Saying that though if this is the route she wants to take, then I commend her for really going for it, and doing a good job too! I've waited for this CD for so long that I can't see myself ever not being a fan of Diana. No matter what she does or releases, I'm probably going to be waiting eagerly.. I just hope that it isn't another 3.5 years until the next one!
