Have just seen a trailer for the new series starting on Monday at 20:30 with Michel Roux Jnr for 6 shows. Only occasionally watched it when it was on before with Michael Barry and Jilly Goolden etc but anything with MRJ has got to be worth a look.

    Starting tonight BBC2 20:30

MRJ for 1/2 an hour is better than no MRJ at all! And my husband thinks I watch it for the cooking!;)

I'm looking forward to this...I used to turn off when Jilly was on she irritated me so much!

I am from the Chris Kelly era - when I used to work for House of Fraser in their cookware department.

It used to drive me nuts because F&D would talk about some new whizz-fandango designer gadget (the collapsible fish-slice springs to mind!) and next day I would be knee deep in customer requests for it - when it wasn't available to retailers for another 3 months!

MRJ is a bit of a step up from Michael Barry and the Tesco shoplifter.

There is just something about MRJ that makes whatever he is talking about or doing so blimming interesting I mean he could be on screen painting a wall and it would be excellent viewing

He's really enthusiastic and passionate about his topic, which really comes across.

I'm really enjoying this. I used to love Food & Drink when I was a kid but the presenters here are far better. It's a really charismatic team and you can't fault their credentials at all.

    Steak... insects.... steak.... insects.... steak....

Guess which one wins every time for me. At least i've a good excuse to keep ordering steak in restaurants now. Enjoy it while it's still on the menu!
