Some people are going to get caught out by the data. 1p per mb sounds great, but download 3,000mb (3gb-ish) in one month, which is very easy in this media driven age, and it'll cost £30.00.
I see a lot of young phone users being suprised...or should I say, their parents.
If anyone wants to download 3gb they should be on a data plan or bundle, pure and simple. A £30 surprise is not going to break the bank though is it, unlike some of the bills people have got from other networks! On a busy month people may get a big bill, unless you download lots it would be more like £5-£10.

woahh. thanks 4 this. i was going to put £5 on tomorrow to see how long it would last as im a big d-loader & browser of net but don't use my mins & txts but 3gb of data coming in @ £30 os way too rich 4 me, i can hardly afford the £15 every 30 days as it is.
You can sign up to the one plan sim only for £15 per month which gives 2,000 mins, 5000 texts, 5000 3 to 3 mins, unlimited data including tethering.
Call the sales team to get that deal if you want tethering
Damn. I don't want a monthly deal I want true pay as you go data. I only need it occasionally and just want to pay for what I actually use. Why will no provider give this? Vodafone used to years ago but have since stopped.
When i se it i will beleive it.
Im currently on a three sim only 1 month £15 sim only deal 9 that hasnt been available for quite some time ) , and for my £15 i get:
200 minutes
500 texts
and 2GB of data.
The reason why im still on that old deal is the 2GB of data ( internet max) allows tethering, and it was originally sold to me as the ability to use your phone as an internet modem to connect a laptop when out and about.
If they are charging by the megabyte, I don't see why they wouldn't allow tethering.
But keep an eye on the other networks, and especially the MVNOs like Tesco and Lebara. They are going to lose a lot of custom unless they cut prices....

Yeah I can't see how it could make any difference.
I may look at this deal as I don't make too many calls and texts and usually use data when I'm in a wifi zone.
btw does anyone know if there are any good PAYG sims that are good for data in France ?

but does sound interesting...3....2....1...Launch!
Sounds too good to be true.
Top up as much as you want then just pay the credit every time you use a call/text/mb.
You can still buy bundles though.
But Three is obviously a better PAYG network.
Doesn't the OP say what cost?
2p per text
1p per mb data.

Ive just had a quick look here http://store.three.co.uk/view/searchTariff?deviceType=SIM_ONLY&priceplan=PAY_MONTHLY and there is no sign of this new deal there.
