What a fantastic voice. She was taken way too soon.

Happy birthday to the late, great Luther Vandross.

With all the greats who have joined you recently like Donald Byrd, Don Blackman and Etta James, lets hope you're all celebrating up there with a good old jam

Second that for the beautiful Mr Vandross and so glad that I saw him live on several occasions - just you-tubed his version of a' House Is Not A Home' , live at the 1988 NAACP Image awards, it is far and away my favourite footage of him - his voice was just so effortless and amazing and he exuded warmth, joy and a very special twinkle in his eye.

Agree with OP, Freddie Mercury and I'll add Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra. Thankfully their music lives on...

Elisabeth Sladen. Is she was still alive, she most certainly would have been asked to appear in the 50th anniversary special. Also Nicholas Courtney (Brigadier Lethbridge Stewart).

Etta James. Her rendition of 'At Last' was mind blowing. It is one of the best songs ever to have come out.

Yes. He was great as the second Doctor! :D Also, I liked him in 'The Two Of Us', with Janet Dibley and Nicholas Lyndhurst.

He was good in The Omen too, and Inspector Morse.
