I'm fully prepared for some stick, but one of the best soundtracks i've heard is from Josie and the Pussycats. For a pure pop album, it's absolutely fantastic.

No, you're not wrong on that one! While the bulk of it is their trademark campy rawk, there are a couple of tracks way ahead of their time - the second track (after the main theme) is incredibly similar to Vangelis' Blade Runner opening titles - and Queen's soundtrack was in 1980!
