The prisons can't protect everyone, not that I really care.
My concern is for those that might wrongly be imprisoned. It would seem a perverse twist of fate, to me, to be imprisoned for crime which you didn't commit, possibly on the grounds of protecting others from you, only to be murdered or maimed.
usually those who are classed as vulnerable prisoners are kept away from the other types of prisoners........
There have been a number of 'deaths' in HMP's this year (so far) - but we the general public do not get told of them, except if it involves notorious prisoners...... which is why we've been told about this one.
HMP Hewell - a prisoner was murdered a few weeks back.
and at a few others.
Anyone can ask to be a VP - if you're coming off drugs and don't wish to be put with the general prison population for fear of being put into a situation where drugs are readily available.... you will be put on the VP list... disgraced MP's will also be put on the VP list....

This is impossible. Prisons are holiday camps where inmates are treated to luxury food, sky TV, whirlpool baths and therapeutic massages from local prostitutes.
Must be true, I'm sure I've read it in the tabloids and from people here.
Curious isn't it. That revenge thing is almost, almost, understandable, if rather juvenile IMO. When it ramps up to positive sadism and blood lust it's a whole new level all together.

Some people are really quite disturbing.
I've long been of the opinion that civilisation is essentially an artificial structure we've put in place primarily to protect us from our own worse natures. This kind of blood lust does nothing to dispel that idea.
I don't see how people can think what these prisoners did was right. Let me make it clear that I have no sympathy whatsoever with the man who died -- he was clearly an evil and despicable human being -- but his punishment should have been to spend the rest of his life behind bars, not to be murdered by two people who have little reason to judge others when they're also behind bars.
I wonder if they feel proud of putting this man out of his misery? Of giving him what he's probably prayed for since being imprisoned. "Murder's really wrong, so I'm going to kill someone". Nice logic there. The idiots.
To be honest regardless of what he did, he will have a family who are now going through hell and grieveing. Two wrongs do not make a right because in all instances, someone innocent will suffer.

It wasn't right at all. But now that it's happened, I doubt many will give a damn. Of all the murders that take place, his is the one which will disturb me the least. If that makes me an uncivilized, neanderthal moron, then so be it. I can live with such a label. Many will share it with me.

Maybe, maybe not. I have to say that if he was a member of my family, there is no way I could feel any continued emotional connection with someone who committed an act of such abject cruelty. I imagine my only reaction would be one of detached observer.
Again, maybe that makes me a bad person. I'll have to suffer that consequence.
I've got no sympathy for this fellow and the fact that he is now dead may give some comfort to his victims relatives. The two prisoners are not and will never be Hero's for doing this although it probably wont stop the press from saying so.

Well it is hard for me to say not having children but I suspect you could detach from them if they are living but as a woman who gave birth to a son, it must be devastating knowing they were brutally murdered, no matter what they had done.

I'm not so sure about whether this particular piece of scum is better or worse off now. Sure, he'll have experienced some terror - akin to what he inflicted on his defenceless victim, but hasn't killing him caused his suffering to be over now ?
In effect, he's been put out of his misery and had his punishment ended.

Plus one. I have no idea who killed him but don't really care anyway.
This is S&M Revenge Porn.
I doubt if anyone is safe in prisons. Peter Sutcliffe has been attacked more than one in "secure" Broadmoor.

Oh right, thanks for the info.

During a month-long ordeal a metal pole was used to shatter the child's leg. She died with fractures to all her limbs.
Rest in peace little one your killer is in hell
Doubt he would suffer much it would have to be a quick job

He was a vile apology for a person.

I agree.
He did spend the rest of his life behind bars.
Unless you're a prison warden.
Ah treme, arguing for the right. You do surprise me.
