Isn’t it rude to refer to people as “a homosexual” or “a heterosexual”?
I don’t mind it myself, but I thought it was just one of those things that some people find a bit insulting.
Know what you mean. I'd rather be called 'gay' than 'Homosexual' which sounds more "pervy". It's strange how some straight blokes are offended by being called Hetero-sexuals though isn't it? Are they a bit thick?
Back to topic (of sorts) - I think Stephen Mulherne could go either way.....most CBBC/CITV presenters are a bit camp, let's face it .
He was in some magazine saying he was going out with someone he worked with, and Emma Barton did the same, and they were both in panto at the same time.
Also, they were in Heat as spotted being out together. He also stated in You Magazine that Emma was his ideal woman, although he did state he was single just now.
Maybe its just rumour, maybe not, but either way Im sure hes not gay!
Also, do you mind not being quite so abrupt? Niceness costs nothing
Nobody is saying it matters. It's just a piece of trivia. Like asking if he's single. Or where he's from. People aren't lining up to throw stones at him.
And in essence, the 'is he gay' threads are asking 'is he straight' - it's just another way of looking at it.
Don't think he's ever publicly came out (don't think he's high-profile enough) but I was under the impression it was common knowledge within the industry - a bit like Louis Walsh and Simon Cowell.
His comedic style reminds me of Brian Conley at times, the pulling of the straight face, fake anger etc. I think he's hilarious! Know nothing about his sexuality
Anyone notice that Simon Cowell wears platform shoes, has a stupid grin and an uncool hairstyle? Next year I'm going to look out for those important aspects and think very definiltely about the Stephen Mulhern's sexuality rather than the talent that is performing on the show.
Well, I have seen the allegation! Not sure that anyone would really care. And I can't imagine that either the gay community or the straight community would want to claim him!
In fact, add in Louis Walsh, Ryan Seacrest and Dermot O'Leary and clearly being associated with a talent show means you are probably gay! (Randy Jackson is the exception)
Surely you don't genuinely believe every alligation, supposed ex-partner's claim, hear say etcetera you read? If you did you'd probably be under the assumption that everyone even remotely successful or attractive is gay, bi, or transgendered.

Why don't we have is he/she straight threads

Fixed
I’m happy to accept that he may be gay, but he is definitely not camp in any way.
Shite presenter, no charisma, lame humour. He seems like a breakfast show person in training.
Neither is Graham Norton, but it doesn't stop him from being gay.
Exactly, Threads with titles like this make me laugh.
Just a spot of idle speculation. Celebrity magazines engage it on a weekly basis.
About as much as talent's got to do with it.

He doesn't appear so. I think he's straight. It never crossed my mind.
SM used to live with the presenter of a singing competition man years ago.
Not all gay people sound camp??
You can be gay and actually act non camp lol
No he isn't a gay. It's the way he acts. It's more like pi** take of one. That's my opinion anyway.
And it is none of our business
Most people couldn't care less nowadays.
