Considering its a benefit concert for Hurricane Sandy which happened in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, half the acts are from here!!!:D:D:D:D:D:D

But did you all notice that there was no latter day acts like Nikki Minaj, Lady GaGa, Rhianna, Taylor Swift, etc.???

The thing is, I find it such a shame and weird that its a worldwide telethon to help the worlds financial Superpower, through a natural disaster, who should have the means to help itself out!! So where has all Americas money gone?? In the list of countries theres a few countries who have got their own problems to cope with!!!:eek:

It kinda reminds me of when Katrina happened!! The whole world had to come together to help the worlds greatest financial Superpower out then!!

Because Springsteen, The Stones, The Who etc are premier league artists with legendary reputations and history who have a huge world-wide audience. Their fans have far more disposable income as they tend to be older, kids left home etc.

For example ticket sales alone raised £35 million from 20,000 ticket sales.

However good Nikki Minaj, Lady GaGa, Rhianna, Taylor Swift are, they would never raise that sort of money through ticket sales and TV sales. There is a huge difference between being this years "big" thing and having 40 years of history. That builds a huge audience - that doesn't rely on record sales and hype.

As surprising as it sounds considering his recent TV performances Paul McCartney was the highlight of the show as far as I was concerned!

Er, have I missed it? When was it on tv? Looks a great line-up. Maybe they should repeat it and advertise it a bit better:confused:
