    My nominations are:-

    1. The Dead Planet ( for nostalgic reasons)
    2. The Invasion of Earth (as above)
    3. The Evil of the Daleks
    4. Genesis of the Daleks
    5. Dalek (2005)

Off the top of my head....I liked a lot more too. I loved 'Death to the Daleks' as well and 'Ressurection' too!

Surprised no one mentioned The Daleks Masterplan. I know most of it doesn't exist anymore, but listening to the audio cd it is epic!

    My list would be:

    Masterplan
    Genesis
    Power
    Evil
    Dalek Invasion of Earth

    Death to the daleks
    Destiny of the daleks
Daleks in Manhattan/evolution of the daleks
    Victory of the daleks.:D:

It is epic, yes, but I do think it's pretty bloated but with a very, very powerful ending. The War Games is almost as long and I think it handles the running time much, much better - that story whizzes by while Masterplan feels as long as it is to me. The Daleks themselves don't do anything particularly memorable which is why I wouldn't call it one of the best Dalek stories, because that's how I'm measuring it - definitely worth a listen though. :)

I hear you, bro. It's just a shame we had to put up with those rubbish-looking Daleks for almost 50 years before the good sort turned up.

Only seen Peter Davison onwards, so this may change once I've watched the Pertwee and Tom Baker eras:

    1. Dalek
    2. Remembrance of the Daleks
    3. Asylum of the Daleks
    4. Bad Wolf/Parting of the Ways
    5. Resurrection of the Daleks.

I really enjoyed Masterplan. It's long enough to be able to do so much and go off in loads of different directions. The one I think is really longwinded and crap is Evil. Whole episodes of capture/escape/capture/excape stuff. Jamie and Kedmel exploring long corridors, trying to find Victoria, while things drop out of the ceiling on to them ... very, very boring. Of course, it might be better in visual form, but the CD is enough to put me off.

    My top five:

    Invasion of Earth
    Power (the soundtrack is fantastic)
    Revelation
    Remembrance
    Parting/Bad Wolf

Genesis of the Daleks (and just think, had the Doctor joined those 2 wires the time war would never have happened.)
    Planet of the Daleks
    Resurrection of the Daleks
Remembrance of the Daleks (and introducing the special weapons Dalek)
    Asylum of the Daleks.

Revelation of the Daleks could have been an amazing story, but it was ruined by the 'ham-ish' acting of Alexei Sayle.

I've airbrushed him out of my memory! :D But the wonderful Orcini and Bostock more than made up for it!

    *since 2005

    1. The Pandorica Opens / The Big Bang (9/10)
    2. Asylum of the Daleks (6/10)
    3. Victory of the Daleks (6/10)
    4. Dalek (6/10)
    5. Bad Wolf / The Parting of the Ways (5/10)

Most Dalek episodes are too down-to-earth and action-oriented IMO.
