But Nick is awful. He isn't very good at the game despite believing himself to be and despite the CBS show editing him in the "mastermind" role. He created the MC and was the one that suggested targeting David last week (which is actually backfiring for him this week!) - ok, not bad. But Spencer, Howard, and even Jeremy have done a lot more of the heavy lifting for the alliance. Plus Nick's social game is awful - he's only started talking to most of the housemates since being on the block.
And he isn't funny or charming so doesn't even make an interesting narrator for the show. Someone like Judd is much funnier and likable - hopefully he'll take on a more prominent role soon.
There are a few reasons McCrae has decided to flip but DR influence is probably at the bottom.
Production was ready to let Elissa go this week in favour of Nick. They clearly were building Nick up as the "mastermind" and as the show narrator - he's had a very strong edit despite not being that great.
McCrae's main reason for flipping is to keep Amanda. The MC have been gunning for Amanda too hard and that will severely weaken McCrae's position within the alliance and within the game. And why should he have to sacrifice his alliance when Jeremy is upstairs sleeping with both Aaryn and Kaitlin?
Not to mention that McCrae has been uncomfortable with Jeremy, Aaryn, GinaMarie and co for their racist bullshit. So he'd want to distance himself from their "side" anyway.
It's also smarter for him to flip because otherwise he could lose Amanda next week and then be low man on the totem pole within an alliance that has 4 strong males all (bar Spencer) with side-alliances. Keeping Elissa is smarter because it not only gives him numbers but it puts him on the side of the MVP, effectively nullifying the HoH if the otherside get it because they can just vote out the MVP nominee every week.
Obviously the above won't go down like that because there are always twists and turns in this game, but in theory his logic for flipping is sound. And he only fully committed once Elissa and Judd got Jessie on board - hence why it's so last minute.
And on top of that it'll be an amazing blindside. So many potentially great reactions from Aaryn, Jeremy and co. I especially look forward to GM's meltdown!
Candice? She actually seems pretty smart. She was the first one on to the boys alliance. She is just been snowed by Howard but who can blame her, he has used religion and the racism stuff to create a bond with her - you can see why she'd trust him. Hopefully when the votes come in tonight she will see the real picture.

viewers down a bit; share up a bit.
Beaten by a repeat of America's Got Talent isn't too good!
see post #1 !
Earlier (10:30) Howard & Nick have quick convo in store room. N says Andy & Judd are possible flips to keep Elissa. H warns Amanda is behind it.
Sorry! My bad! Ha.
I won't be able to stay up then. 1am I could have maybe risked it but 2am is to late with being at work in the morning.
Howard gave Jeremy a heads up that Amanda was not voting his way so he's just given her a dig in the kitchen. She's been attacked twice this morning and she's only been up 30 mins
Then Spencer went to have a word with Helen and pretty much contradicted what Howard had said 15mins earlier. Helen kept making mistakes while talking to him though, she is horrible at this game, you'd really think a politician would be good at this.
Oh and Candace spotted Jeremy and Spencer talking in the store room and did a quick scout catching them talking a little hushed. Jeremy pulled Jessie and made sure they were still on the same page. According to the talk Jeremy had with Spencer he said he told Jessie to say she would vote out Nick.... ruh roh.
There's a whole lot of panic going on.
N - Candice

Def Evicting Elissa: Jeremy, Kaitlin, GinaMarie, Spencer, Howard
Def Evicting Nick: Amanda, Judd, Andy
To varying degrees, Candice, McCrae and Jessie's votes are all a bit up in the air, but as things stand, all look set to evict Nick.
McCrae has an alliance with Nick but appears to have abandoned it.
Jessie's vote has been really worked for, but as things stand she appears to have decided to keep Elissa
Candice should be secure, but remains in a spot of doubt because she's close to Howard, who she believes will also be voting to evict Nick - if he reveals at the last minute he is voting for Elissa, she might jump ship and mess everything up.
Thanks for that.
I have no idea why Candice's vote is up in the air, considering her talks in the highlight shows. What's happened for her vote to be up in the air? It'd be incredibly stupid of her to go against Elissa when she knows the boys are currently ruling the roost.
I'm not convinced Jessie or McCrae will evict Nick. Neither seem to want to rock the boat. At least one of 'em will evict Elissa, I reckon, which will seal her fate, unfortunately.
I'm not gonna let myself get my hopes up... Elissa is doomed.
I think part of the problem with this vote is that it's been pulled together at such short notice that there's a lack of trust between the group that they will all actually vote for Nick. I'll have huge respect for the likes of Judd and Amanda if they actually pull it all off and Elissa stays because two days ago it seemed near impossible.
All i know is tonights eviction is gonna be a good one!!!!
Nick to Spencer & Howard - I've put all my trust in you guys. Spencer says we've got everything coming together. N asks about Spencer & Amanda & their relationship. He says he is trying.
Andy walks in and convo turns to hair cuts.
It's getting hot in there!
