Saturday Night Fever - watched it for the first time last night. It was ok, nothing special, probably expected a bit too much.

Anatomy of a Murder - billed as the best courtroom drama ever, incredibly disappointing, not least because I love every other James Stewart film I've seen.

Animal Kingdom - dark and understated with lots of potential but never quite got there IMO.

Logan's Run - introduced my wife to this classic

Looper - decent premise and pretty good execution but I always have a problem when time travel films represent the consequences of the past as occurring or only becoming visible in the future at the point we happen to be watching: cut someone's nose off in the past, in the present his nose disappears. Er, nope.

The Man From Earth - brilliant. Was a little unsure at first but this quickly grew on me. Bravely, takes place almost exclusively in one room and consists entirely of dialogue.

That's My Boy - I haven't enjoyed Adam Sandlers latest few efforts but this one had us laughing out loud quite a lot.

The Watch - ok, has its moments but not really a keeper.

My Cousin Vinny - if Anatomy of a Murder was a serious version of this it would have been good. Great film this.

Safety Not Guaranteed - interesting, understated film but I'm not sure it knew what it wanted to be.

Edit: just realised that's only ten.

Memento - brilliant premise, brilliant execution. Fantastic film.

Primer - can I use the word understated again. Yes, yes I can. Cracking film, unusual take on time travel flicks.

I've found it interesting. I had to think about how many films I had seen from 2012-2013.
