I've not covered Wii U, cause i see that as an "I also own" console..
I see a lot of people jumping ship, moving their alegance from my to another and wanted to quantify it.

My switch is using PS4 for primary gaming rather X1.
I then moved to the Xbox 360 and much prefer the exclusives on there.
The same this generation i prefer the Xbox offerings exclusives, the controller and being able to transfer my Live account across.
Of my close group of friends everyone now has the Xbox 360 and they're all moving to the Xbox One.
I'm not sure which one I will get to begin with, but I have no doubt that I will end up with both consoles within a year like I do now.
Voted Xbox to Playstation, as it represents a sale to Sony with a loss of sale to Microsoft.
(I say "plan" because sometimes it's hard to resist the shiny.)
This.
I'll be getting both, like I did this gen.
I did think about adding more options, but it was getting crazy once I started to add PC; both; all three... then the Wii U.
So I decided to stick with the most common. Though in hindsight I should have added both.
For me it’s stick with PlayStation and PC, cause not one of my RLF's or OLF's are getting an X1.
Regarding having to pay for online pay with PS now, I really don't mind. I hear they will be bringing in monthly subsription prices, which will be the best option for me - Because I'm not prone to playing online every single day. The games that are available for free monthly is also a great incentive - as it has been through the PS3's life span.
I still plan to get a high end PC, in the future anyway, because there are so many games that are only playable on PC - But in my opinion I don't think PC's should be compared with console gaming. It is a completely different experience.
I now feel very, very, very old. Thanks
Then I became a die hard PS2 fan boy where I wouldn't hear a bad word about the PS2.
Then came along this gen and I bought an Xbox 360 (as I couldn't afford a PS3) and really liked it. Then PS3 got a price cut and so I got that. Eventually I was buying all multiplatform games on PS3 and Xbox 360 exclusives such as Halo and Forza didn't interest me at all.
Next gen I'm getting a PS4 as I don't like Microsofts arrogance, limitations and my biggest bug bear is the forced Kinect. I know Kinect can be disabled etc but the point is I don't want it in the first place and the fact I have no say in the matter with it annoys me.
So I'll be sticking with Sony but I think next gen will probably be my last anyway.
+1. My launch day PS2 is still hooked up to my TV with the original memory card. Never had a freeze or disc skip. I honestly believe that thing would survive a direct nuclear strike.
Went the other way this gen though. Had both but stuck with 360 for most (90%) games.
Awh, Sorry! Damn my age...
Lol
I actually think it's quite ridiculous the way I was and some things I used to sprout like "Xbox is just a PC in a box" and "Gamecube is for kids" But I guess you can't argue with a fan boy no matter how wrong about thing I was
There was a small piece in the Metro today about signs you're getting old. Thankfully I only do/have one or two on the list. But I'm only 34 and time is always against us.:(
To make you feel worse, this was my first ever console.

You kids today, don't know you're born.:D
I did get an Xbox (that particular bungalow is still in the loft somewhere). Even had a Gamecube for a bit. But always came home to PS. If PS3 wasn't delayed and overpriced I would never have defected to the Empire.
I was PS2 through and through and so were most of my mates and I was in my late teens so I guess I was following the crowd as it were. I still remember buying my PS2 I got it from WH Smith and thought the DVD extra was amazing at the time.
But I'm glad this gen I gave 360 a fair chance as I had some great times playing games like Left 4 Dead and a lot of them die hard PS2 fan boys friends had crossed to 360 cos of the PS3 high price so we had great matches on COD4 etc
So your to blame:) i saw the votes and thought who's going from PS to Xbox !!
I'm 19 too. Makes a change for this place not to be filled with the old gits:p:D
Now that is a blast from the past.
My first console as well. I recall asking Santa for an Atari but got the intellivision instead, cant remember which was deemed better in the hazy console wars of old.
I can remember it's versions of Space Invaders and Pac Man and the curly controller wires being irritatingly on the short side. WOW look at the keypad controller layout:eek::D
I think I'll have a trip down memory lane on You Tube.
Hahah, I do regard myself to be older in the mind than I am to be honest. I feel a lot older any way. I don't think I've even seen one of those! It's so cool to look at older gaming machines though, I'd love to play them all. My first console was a second hand SNES from my uncle in 1994, when I was only one! And my very second console was the Playstation, only a year later
