I am looking forward to playing this, am a big fan of the Broken Sword games, ever since playing the first game back in 1996 on the Playstation 1:D
We are delighted to announce that the PC version of Broken Sword 5 - The Serpent’s Curse will be released on December 4th. The success of our Kickstarter appeal has allowed us to be hugely ambitious – the game will be released as two action-packed episodes. Each episode is a full sized game in its own right, which we will publish in close succession.
The first part of the game will debut on PC / Mac / Linux through Steam, GOG.com, and Revolution’s own website store on December 4th, with a PlayStation Vita version to follow later in the month. The concluding part of the game will be published on PC in January 2014. iOS and Android versions will follow shortly after each PC episode.

Next gen can do one, this is my most anticipated game this year! I played it on PS1 too, dragging the cursor around the screen was so slow but I just loved it, I got my parents in on it too, they made some good suggestions when I was stuck. It's also the only game that had me ringing one of those game helplines back in the day lol.
Have you seen the new screenshots, it's just some background environments, it looks gorgeous. I'm hoping for a Nico/George reunion, one that actually sticks this time.
I have a feeling that there wont be a physical Vita release, it might just be digital. Or it may be delayed until both episodes are out and then come on one card. Do you buy digital for Vita? I've never bought a game card so far.
i first played the Demo version i got with oiffical Playstation Magazine, which ended when you tried the exit the sewer near the courtyard where the old war veteran lived

i remember that, pressing R2 make the cursor speeds, remember the awful loading times, lol the little disc spinning when entering a a new area, me and my dad played it back in the day and we worked it out between us, i think we called one of the helplines that we found in Official Playstation Magazine
i remember that pressing R2 made the cursor speed up , i remember the awful loading times, lol the blue disc spinning
me and my dad played it back in the day and we worked it out between us, i know we called helpline that we found in Official Playstation Magazine at least once
it would be great if George and Nico got back together, fantastic couple
i have seen the new screenshot and the latest trailer, i am looking forward to it :D:D

So looking forward to this!
Yeah I think I got the number from that mag, it also had a page dedicated to the goat puzzle, ah the days before online walkthroughs lol.
I am so sad, I have bought BS1 on every platform it has been released on, PC, Mac, PS1, iOS, the most dissapointing version was the DS, it had no voice acting. It's a pity the original version is hard to find now, I prefer that to the Directors cut, which I don't mind really, I just can't forgive them changing the opening dialogue, and i'm sure some conversations were cut. Which is odd considering it is supposed to have more content.
I only played BS4 once, the laggy mouse drove me nuts, I had to put it on the lowest settings, so it looked ugly and the mouse still lagged. I didn't mind the story or puzzles though, I have to say Anna Maria is no Nico Collard. I'm hoping BS5 is better.
I never played 2.5, I might look that up, I remember seeing it when it was still in progress. That's fan dedication right there.
OMG, I am having viatnam style flash backs about trying to beat that damn goat!
Loved BS2 and BS3, never played the fourth one, must have passed me by.
So who checked the guide for that part, I did.
After several ...days...of trying...I admit it..I looked at the guide.
yeah i think i remember that
not sad at all i still have Broken Sword 1+2 on PS1
I have 1, 2, 3 , 4 on PC, ust got dad the Directors Cut on PC
I have the Directors cut + The Smoking Mirror Remastered on My Andiod Phone
my girlfriend bought me the Directors cut on the DS and i also i have it for the Wii
you should be able to find the original version on ebay
yeah i always liked the original opening of Broken Sword 1 but loved the Nico gameplay,
didn't get far on Broken Sword 4, have played Broken Sword 3 but only got to under the sewer where i kept on getting killed
Broken Sword 2.5 has been out for years, it is good for a fan game, no Rolf Saxon as George Stobbart though but the voice actor for George is good in 2.5, am pleased that Rolf will be back for Broken Sword 5
check it out

yeah it took me and dad a while to get past the goat
i have played the original over and over for the humour
I might be a an unusual case, but I've lost count of how many times i've replayed them over the years. I know all the puzzles, but I like the dialogue, it's almost like an audio book now lol.
I think I saw $15 per episode, with each ep being a full game at around 10 hours each. I think it's a very good price, not sure about £ though.
I'm glad it's not just me then! The remastered Smoking Mirror is great, I think the iOS Director's Cut of 1 had crackly sound, especially the dialogue, it was like the audio had been compressed. But the Smoking Mirror sounds great.
I really like the Nico parts too, it's just the changes elsewhere that bugged me with it.
Thanks for the link, I will have a look.
I don't think that's true at all. Replaying an adventure is just like re-reading a good book.
yeah, for me it is fun plahying it over again and listening to the brilliant humour again,
agreed, i love adventure games
Sorry, dont mean to be off topic but wouldnt the monkey island's on android/IOS game be good as well.
really miss the old point and click games, think they should be making a come back.
I think MI has already been released on iOS but I don't have any Apple products so I don't know what it is like.
Would love a touched up version of MI 1&2 on android though, says a lot when some of the best games on android are 20 years old.
There are still some around, I pick them up very now and then.
