Which government department is this ?

I have been paying £10.09 per month out of my bank account since December the 1st 2009 to cover some kind of bill, but I can't remember which government department I am paying it to !:o
I have no paperwork anywhere which might tell me, so I thought someone on here might know.
My bank statements have
"HMRC NDDS" and an 18 digit reference number next to the amount.
Any ideas please ?

I need to get in touch with them to find out how much I still have to pay.
I think HMRC means "Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs", but what is "NDDS" ?

I now believe this to be for Working Tax Credits.
