I find them boring and repetitive. I've tried watching several different ones over the years, but always gave up on them quite quickly. The one I lasted the longest with was Eastenders, but I even got fed up with that eventually.
Why do soaps have the monopoly on TV guide covers? Well, the cheaper ones anyway, not the Radio Times of course.
Soaps are popular with many people, but some who say they don't like them will gladly watch stuff like Holby and Casualty, which as continuing dramas are also soaps.
I certainly don't hate them but never watch any.
I used to watch Corrie but stopped a few years ago, never liked the others so don't watch any now. Also hate stuff like Casualty, Holby, Waterloo Road, etc, one viewing of each was all that was needed to know they were to be consigned to the TV bin forever.
Odd thread. Forum is a discussion about going ons in soaps. More suitable for general discussions forum.
Exactly:) Same here. I watch Emmerdale and Corrie.
I really don't understand why anyone who 'hates soaps' would be on this forum. I rarely watch sport or reality t.v and there are lots of so-called 'quality' dramas which I don't like but I don't go on to their forums and start threads like this.

Just wanted a short reply to something to bring my posts up to a good round number!
