Seen the trailer a couple of times, and like the look of it, think 2 seasons have aired so far in the States?
Anyway, here is some info on it.
They say strange things happen in the subtropical wetlands - the Everglades - of Florida, and for homicide detective Jim Longworth, he's about to find out first-hand in Alibi's brand new US acquisition. Longworth (Matt Passmore) leads the high urban life in Chicago and has an attitude to match, which normally means that trouble follows him around every corner.
When his captain wrongfully accuses him of sleeping with his wife and shoots him, he's exiled and forced to relocate. He lands in the sleepy, middle-of-nowhere town of Palm Glade outside of the Florida Everglades, where sunshine and golf are plentiful and crime is seemingly at a minimum. But Longworth soon finds out the town isn't quite as idyllic as he originally thought - murder and mayhem keep piling up just as much as any big city, and Just when he settles down into a peaceful lifestyle of sun and golf his street smarts as a homicide detective become just as important as they did up north.
Throw in a growing relationship with local nurse Callie (Kiele Sanchez), and his so-called new easy life isn't as chilled as he thought it was going to be

I will give it a go, I quite like that sort of format, and I may like the leads, see how it goes.
Castle is the most overrated piece of drivel out there. It just is. Of course, this is my personal sentiment.
It is harmless and for me a fun watch. I like the cast.
I can forgive a LOT if I like the central characters enough -- and I like Castle and Beckett. But I really am not going to quarrel with anybody who hates a solve-the-murder-of-the-week procedural.:D It is a type of TV show I would be happy to see go away.
Oh, c'mon!:D I replied to your first post before seeing this one. You hate Castle -- again, like I said, I am okay with that -- but you enjoy The Glades? Jim and Callie are boring as individuals and when they are together the boredom just multiplies. Then you have the insipid murder cases to get through on top of that.
Regards
Mark
Have recorded it. Oh I can never judge something or a character on one episide.
The characters seem to have depth and with far fewer cliches than you normally get in "just a cop show".
On the whole I liked that episode and from seeing the trailer for ep #2, I'll be back again.
She should stick with it. Jim Longworth does grow on you and he really isn't that bad. There has to be something to him for it to have three seasons under its belt. In fact, it has been announced today that The Glades has been renewed for a fourth season. I think that the audience would have abandoned the series if the character just became totally insufferable.
The series is just nice escapist fun.
Hi MoreTears:
Yes, I hate Castle. I don't like the leads nor the series itself. Yes, I do like The Glades. It's just a light little series and I do like the Jim and Callie characters. I don't find them boring at all. In fact, I find them very cute together. Hell, I like the entire cast. With all the cop shows that I watch, I appreciate the occasional tongue-in-cheek ones.
So, there you go. We like two different cop shows. It's totally cool with me.
I liked the Nurse.
Liked the Bird Expert too....:p
And Jim, meets the Nurses Mother-in-Law....
Michelle Hurd is a good addition to the cast - I hope she's in it often.
By the way....
As they are on Season 3 in the US....I wonder if Alibi will be showing S2 soon.
