I'm hoping some of you techies can help me out.
I have £250 of AMAZON vouchers that I want to use to buy a 10" tablet. Here's what I need...
To email.
Visit & post on forums.
Do surveys,watch vids,play games etc on a site I'm on .
Visit YOUTUBE.
So pretty much everything I suppose:o ,other than watching movies or downloading/uploading music.Nor will I be interested in apps (I don't think).
I know being restricted to AMAZON narrows things a bit but the vouchers are all I can use for this since I've no spare cash.( everybody.....boo-hoo:) )

Any ideas ?

Literally all tablets will be fine for that.

You almost certainly will be interested in apps to some extent.

The Samsung Galaxy tabs are quite reasonable. And around that price.

Thanks FP. But I'm told that Apple(I think it's them) don't use Flash player in their tablets etc & from bits & pieces I'm reading I think I'll need that for watching the vids I do on my site.
And yes,I'm picking up that Samsung is the way to go.
I'm just wary of spending the lot on something that won't do the things I need..
So I'm seeking as much advice as possible before deciding. Sorry for sounding stupid or dithery, but £250 is a lot to me (& most people I daresay),so I'm exploring all avenues.:)

Thought I read somewhere that new android devices are not supporting flash anymore either. Maybe someone can confirm or deny this.

All you do is untick a box in settings to stop you installing apps from external sources and click a link that one of us can post you.

My iPad 2 and my Nexus 7 don't have flash and I can watch videos just fine. Youtube works just dandy for example.

For your needs, and if it has to be Amazon, then this looks good to me - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab2-10-1-Tablet/dp/B0080OYLM6/ref=sr_1_13?ie=UTF8&qid=1358643659&sr=8-13, though you will need to find £25 on top of the vouchers. Youi'll probably need to add Flash manually, but that really is very simple, as c4rv has suggested. I or someone else on here will be able to walk you through it.

flash can be installed easy enough. you would also need to install firefox or a browser that supports flash too. but increasingly sites have other solutions available. rarely do you have to use it.

In that price range and flash, Android. Windows RT has flash, too, but it's in a different price bracket.

    There's this Brandev Flame 10.1" for £140

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/BRANDEV%C2%AE-ALLWINNER-Multitouch-Capacitive-Flashplayer/dp/B0087CO482/ref=sr_1_32?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1358678124&sr=1-32

I don't know how Amazon vouchers work so don't know if this is too cheap, is change given?

And it won't be as good as the Samsung Tab2

A link to Flash version 11.1.115.36 for Android direct from Adobe http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/installers/archive/android/11.1.115.36/install_flash_player_ics.apk

Here is a link to the the archived page http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html if you scroll down you will see versions of flash for Android 4.0.

Also here is the FAQ from Adobe complete with YouTube video http://forums.adobe.com/message/4675670 it explains everything you need to know, always install the latest version for Android 4.0 though which is what I linked.

My Samsung galaxy tab 2 10.1 came with flash installed. I didn't have to re-install it after it was updated to jelly bean.

I looked at that . Some bad reviews. I know everything has SOME bad reviews, but out of 12 reviews two are bad,so I'd be wary of that. The aftercare is excellent, but I don't want to have to need aftercare........hopefully. But thank you for the link and it was worth checking out.
By the way,has anyone heard ?......any chance SAMSUNG might extend that cashback thing ? I think it ends this month & you can't claim till you have the item more than 15 days,so I'm just a week or so out even if I ordered right away.:(
I was looking at this one below from Cambridge Sciences. Seems great value & good reviews by & large, but then the samsung is not TOO much more & is a top brand:cool:. Whatcha think?

Lol this is flash we are talking about, you should always use the latest version to avoid malware on any platform, it's not like it takes long to install.
